Previous quarter Sorrell affirmed lowered targets would be met.Today he states y/e figures would be below targets.Very difficult to see anything in a positive light..WPP had much better digital ad trading ???

Samb...Completely irrelevant ..If market sentiment turns against a company than future trading ambitions and possibilities become secondary to sentiment..It takes a long time for that sentiment to turn positive.

From my experience if a company is oversold after an update,the next day there usually is a slight bounce back..If the SP carries on going down,there will be no recovery for some time,as sentiment has turned too much against the company...

Based on WPP and a couple of others..The digital ad market is showing signs of life again..I expect Sorrell to reconfirm y/e trading figures with tentative increases in ad spend by companies..Shares will rise a bit but nothing too exciting.

What lunatic sold 822,815 shares for a low low price of 45p..It just makes no sense..

FT.com reported a few month's back that around 83% of retail investors lose money on the stock exchange..Main reason being we all catch a falling knife which once bought carries on falling..A share might have traded in the £8 range for a couple of years suddenly falls to £3 on slightly poor results..We pile in thinking we have a bargain,when in fact the bottom might be £1.30 in two years time,and we are stuck in a prolonged debt position..l include myself in this

Trotski...What actually happened was that the discounting strategy meant very big increases in volume,but at a small profit...When they got rid of discounting the profits were increased but the decline in volumes was greater than the increased profits so they moved into loss..A more flexible mixed strategy is required..In the end Next will buy the company whilst retaining the two directors..However this could be next year or 5 years time..Notice there has been no director buying for 3 years..Draw your own conclusions

The company needs to publish the prospectus asap..Every day that goes by, confidence weakens and SP slides..

When Sosander was offering discounts to increase customer base,they made a profit of £100,000...Now they are loss making..The homeward side is never going to make anything except pocket money for the company,yet divert more effort and attention from management time to achieve a profit from the clothes side..The homeward side is just a self indulgent ego trip for Ali Hall and Julie Lavington.

Talk about running before you can walk...Sosander decided to start out online only..Then decided to stop any sales discounting,then decided to be online and concessions within dept stores,then decided to have stand alone stores in high streets..Then decided to expand into homeward ranges..The company is loss making for last 2.5 years,but keep changing tack all the time.

Always a bad sign when a company experiences selling pressure very close to an update or results.It usually means people with inside info prior to results are getting out.

Goes to show how much l know about share trading..After the massive director buying,plus near to prospectus publication,l would have bet my mother on the SP rising today (but it dropped)

Card quoted increase in national wage for previous profit warning..Post budget..nation wage increase again,employers NI contributions increase and most damaging of all employers contributions start from a much lower point...Cannot see any blue sky during 2025,just lots of dark clouds.

So 9 days ago the SP went suddenly skyward.The company put out a statement saying no known reason for the lurch upwards..Today we learnt there was a reason..Insiders, namely family and relations etc got in early to make gigantic profits...It really is borderline corruption

Am l missing something..Reading the results this morning l saw a very ordinary set of results..Expected the SP to trade sideways so sold at 417p...Why is there so much upswing in SP??

The SP moved down after the huge trade.It was a sale without doubt

Typically corrupt goings on..Someone obviously got news of the results late yesterday,and promptly sold £193,000 of stock at 4.35pm.

Very ordinary figures from yougov.. Current trading also no better than average.. Nothing inspiring.

Let's hope that they announce a move from Mickey Mouse AIM to main market..Serious investors don't touch AIM stocks.
