Today Close Brothers given permission by the judge to appeal earlier decision to allow compensation for motor finance fraud

I was hoping,other directors,seeing the positive impact would follow suit this morning and buy shares..l am a bit surprised..

The fact that it has not yet been announced,means the consortium are still wrangling over split terms..If they were out,it would have been known by now..So it seems a last minute agreement or at worse extension,but no rejection of offer

So the director made a cool £20,000 profit in one day...

Very interesting in that last 3 weeks there has been a two way pull on the shares..As one institution has decided to sell,another has taken an opening position..This means SP moving sideways until yesterday...Are there anymore sellers or is that it..Is momentum building or is it a false dawn...Headlam flooring plc reported that sales slow down had reduced in pace but no actual increase in sales as per last week

Profits were up,after adjustments, for impairment for its previous acquisition..Markets always looking for an excuse to sell down,rather than buy.

Looking like a further extension...If a bid was coming or rejection ,it would have been announced a couple of days beforehand...Because directors are so keen to sell the company,the proposed bidders are taking the Mickey ..Why does a small company need three bidders.. It's hardly worth their while..

Another nagging doubt is that management seem too keen to sell...The consortium might well chance their aim with a lower offer.

I am agonising as to wether take a position with the view that it might actually happen..If they pull out the SP will probably drop to just over 100p,which is a massive drop from today's price..My feeling there will be another extension.. Shall I or shall I not?????

People are nibbling away,taking small positions in light of perceived stateside and revenue recovery (albeit on a slow scale) It does seem as if the worst is over,but l still think it is a 12 months before a meaningful recovery..Finger crossed

Sentiment is damaged regardless of outcome..Once the takeover completes or lapses,the lower the SP the smaller the rebound..Instead of visiting 370p right after results,it's looking to bounce back to just under 300p.

Extraordinary how the volumes each day have rocketed in last week..Yet no clear evidence of upward or downward momentum in SP..l would feel a lot more comfortable holding my shares if the directors started buying,which they are not...Does this suggest more downward pressure is still to come??

Why do people go on and on about shorting of the shares...There was ZERO shorting until 28/11/24 When one miniscule short appears at 0.8%..

Bullish..When your a billionaire,the only thing left that matters is your ego..He does not take kindly to being said no to..One of the reasons a company is registered on AIM is that you can do more or less what you like..A company the size of volex should be on the main market,but you have to have independent directors,and be accountable to your shareholders..He would never dilute his 100% control.

Record profits but no record share price??? Makes little sense.Yesterday Discoverie plc reported so so trading and SP went up 30%..

The trading figures are no more than average,yet the SP shoots up.. Unbelievable

It seems after all the shenanigans by the company,the only thing that will really get the SP moving upwards, is a big improvement in actual trading performance..All other attempts are leaving investors confused and unimpressed.

Very little in the way of shorting of this stock,just over 3%...There cannot be any SP re-rating until December 2025 at very earliest,when we will discover if repayments have to be made (but even then we will not know how much money is involved) Until then is is day traders stock

Losing steam...l think this will finish up 1p today, and then drift around until January/March when it might get a re-rating to mid 50p
