Agriculture in Africa seems a lot tougher. AFPO struggling with the fertiliser trading. Agriterra have had issues historically. Zambeef too. The whole diversification seems at odds with the rampers talking up the improved margins expected this year which you would think should be the board's focus.

I think they mean that the management have their act together so the company will benefit from the rising commodity prices this year. This won't show up in the results today which cover 2015. The next set at the end of the month should, as has been ramped heavily everywhere, show some good figures due to rising gold and nickel prices. Just don't ask them where the slaughterhouse business fits in with all this though.

BIP are buying Platinum at 80.8 in exchange for 1.154 billion shares = approx 7p.

BIP have stated the transaction is expected to complete by end of this quarter. Trading will resume when the admission document is published re reverse takeover, so as stated earlier, should be sometime in March. As for not talkative, quality not quantity...

Which update? These interims only cover the first half which will probably be dismal. Finals next year might be better depending on how long the CPO prices stay low for. Still nothing on those contracts or even if they're using the pipeline. Would love nothing more than a blockbuster update but not keeping my hopes up.

There is limited requirement for toll refining and we continue to solicit this service as we are continuing with our search for smart partnerships with Plantation Companies. The Board of Directors consider opportunities such a reverse takeover, merger or acquisition of a plantation business as they are identified. Zurex commenced principal repayment in Jan 2011. We are in discussion with our bankers regarding either full or partial release of our fixed deposit which is surety against the loan facilities. Spindok - You mentioned that you were promised an update within "1-2 weeks" on 5 July. Now it's almost 3 weeks. Completely fed up of ALL of the missed deadlines and broken promises. They cocked up on the timing of the annual report last year, they never officially announced the pipeline was ready until the annual report came out. The huge NAV write down just shows how credible their valuation of the company is. The monthly update (or lack thereof) just makes this company a laughing stock. How do you set up a refinery without lining up offtakers beforehand? We're STILL waiting for news of contracts. Is BIP even refining anything at the moment or taking it easy because it's unprofitable. So we're basically paying these people for doing nothing except destory shareholder value.

Most PIs who say long term investment usually mean a failed short term punt ;)

New investment company on AIM (Praetorian Resources) have done a deal to invest in Equatorial Palm Oil.
