NHS would be obliged to buy it without having the full data required, so if something went wrong NHS would be sued and heads would presumably roll for breaking with procedure eg a baby testing negative for the gene , receiving the anitbiotic then losing their hearing. Followed by an investigation that showed that the baby had the gene all a long , would lead to the NHS being sued .

Wrt GDR I'm afraid that no news is never good news but bad news.

Mr Nissan, interesting link. It has nothing to do with AIHL and only shares the commonality in newborns not being able to hear . In their case, it's something babies are born with. In AIHLs case, its something a particular anitbiotic may cause and is more likely to cause if a certain gene is present (however, the gene just increases the risk of hearing loss after receiving a specific antibiotic, its not a certainty, hence more data gathering is required). Which is why Mr Cheek remarked on the story. Doesn't do any harm to try to promote AIHL on the back of someone elses news.

I don't think labour are interested in delaying the role out of modern techonology, especially the testing technology that GDR is producing. Data gathering of testing methods is always important but ultimately GDR do not marketing medicine but a test.

I expect a labour government will budget for AIHL to be rolled out throughout the NHS asap but right now, under this incompetent "Conservative" government, the NHS just doesn't have the budget for it. GDR investors who vote tory only have themselves to blame imo.

Mr Nissan/System, data collection will take 3 years (announced by GDR themselves). I wonder whether you are invested at all as I can't believe that someone invested in a company would not have read RNS's etc. I'm no longer invested but I read RNS's as its a company I'm interested in investing in (again, but just not yet dyor).

And if this is true I believe Mr Ian GIlham is the ultimate boss of GDR, if GDR didn't take an offer of 30p a share then that was his ultimate decision not Mr Budds imo.
