Mr Nissan, interesting link. It has nothing to do with AIHL and only shares the commonality in newborns not being able to hear . In their case, it's something babies are born with. In AIHLs case, its something a particular anitbiotic may cause and is more likely to cause if a certain gene is present (however, the gene just increases the risk of hearing loss after receiving a specific antibiotic, its not a certainty, hence more data gathering is required). Which is why Mr Cheek remarked on the story. Doesn't do any harm to try to promote AIHL on the back of someone elses news.
