Shares in genedrive PLC soared over 27% on Wednesday morning after the company announced a host of international orders for its antibiotic induced hearing loss test.

Orders have been received from France, Austria, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the Netherlands for the MT-RNR1 test, genedrive announced, following recent commercial distribution agreements.

Which one genuinely applies to GDR? I think GDR adhere to the first adage but it manifests itself as the second adage through greed and poor decision-making by BoD.

I get the feeling it's a case of too little too late with GDR. How will they continue as an ongoing concern if they don't make the sales Mr Jimihendrix and others are expecting?

This is the reason for the sudden increase in sp on monday to 1.8p. only to fall back again to 1.4p. But still an improvement on 1.3p!

If 10k was a invested 2 years ago , then 3.6k of it went on BoD salaries and costs! if it was invested 3 years ago , presumably 5.4k of 10k punt/ investment pays for BoD! It begs the question is the BoD providing any value. I think GDR asked themselves this last year when Mr Cheek was sacked (or is he still on garden leave? Dr Gino being promoted to CEO in his place, savings costs and potentiall creating value in BoD.

What's startling for me is the cost of the BoD - last year 18%.

So a punt of 10k over 2024, 1.8k of the 10k is paid the salary and costs of the BoD...

This is ongoing, NICE requested further test results, in 2023 I think. Mr Budd or cheek said it would take about 3 -4 years, in summer 2023. So earliets is summer 2026 for full NICE recommendation regarding MT-RNR1.

I do wonder what will happen to the two products if GDR doesn't make it. Particularly the antibiotic genetic marker to prevent hearing loss in babies. I really can't believe that this hasn't been adopted immediately, after all it's just a simple cheek swab test. But then we live in a world were advanced governments accept the killing of children (as collateral damage).

Mr Rud, I think the full process to allow sales in USA will take another 2 years, as Dr Gino stated in december 2024. But I feel an update on how this is progressing is due. Especially since GDR has been part of the breakthrough programme since july 2024 that exists to fast track important products through the de novo process.
