Yes it's political and yes a second wave , or whatever you want to call it, will happen. USA is going for herd immunity by the looks of things, whether they realize it or not.

This is uncommon sense, as Charlie Munger would say. The populists governments (USA, UK, India, Brazil, Aus) do not possess any uncommon sense whatsoever. It's not a coincidence that these are the countries suffering the most under corona, it's as a result of populist governments. I'm not holding my breath that GDR will be selling alot of kits. Corona and testing is political for the countries who need accurate testing on a grand scale. Very strange situation to be in.

I think mid August too but that's based more on a 'second' wave as autumn approaches. I read some scientists researched it and came out with that prediction. I hope I'm wrong but I fear autumn and winter will be awful. Corona cases may yet peak again.
