Covid vaccines will become part of life, perhaps innoculation every 3 months for the most vulnerable. Treatment eg sng for the rest. Testing will be merely diagnostic tool for and not part of a pandemic prevention strategy. That said this is definitely not the last virus to jump from animals to humans.it's just another mutant virus which are increasing in frequency. I. That sense gdr could well. Be a good long term investment, especially if the portable pcr testing kit currently in development, works well.

I agree. I think genedrive has 4 weeks to generate huge sales figures and win major contracts in order to increase sp above 130p. It also needs to ensure it doesn't pull another placement stunt like it did earlier (I think the 8 mil was raised to fund the rest of the year, implying anotherplacement would be required to fund 2021) . Covid testing stocks are inherently not long term growth stocks unless they offer fantastic treatments or vaccines.

My biggest concern is that western govs have the technology to contain covid through accurate testing, tracing etc but the govs have shown no genuine appetite for it. And that reflected in gdrs sales figures to date. The cream will rise but will it rise before vaccines and treatments become available?

Yes, it's unlikely before Christmas but realistic before next summer. Plus sng's treatment. Remember covid only needs to become as lethal as the flu, I believe a combination of innoculation and treatments will achieve this but the big question is when.

Dave77, I hope you are right. I am invested and I'm just in the money at Fridays closing price. I want this stock to do well but I feel its a double edged sword as it's a covid share that will do well on sales and sales requires a government to test alot because they do not have the epidemic under control. Most western governments are still in the learning phase in that regard and refuse to learn from their mistakes y the looks of things. And unfortunately many Western govs appear corrupt eg dnafudge. Which is why I'm not confident the sp will increase to a stable 300p+. I believe covid will be either cured or several vaccines will work, I dividually or combined. Indeed, most people on this board are dreamers. If it reaches 3.84 this year it will be an intra day peak and an over-reaction.

If it reaches 3.84 next year, either covid will be so common that many investors will have died of covid related issues and/ or testing will being performed daily on huge populations, regardless and/or vaccines barely work if at all.
