I mentioned earlier today about how mutant viruses that jump from animals to humans are becoming more frequent. But I didn't expect to read this today!!!! Perfect storm. The human population is ready for a correction. Whats to say another mutant viruses doesn't appear before the year is out.

I agree. Only when the western world adopts all the outbreak regulations already present in asia eg thorough track and trace ( aka singapore) and blanket testing of as many people as possible, regardless of whether they have symptoms or not, then this crisis will start coming to an end. The true goal however is obviously a cure , treatment or vaccine to stop people dying. A vaccine or treatment needs to stop the body attacking itself due to corona, effectively turning covid into a flu-like infection, instead of this deadly virus. The fatality statistics of the flu are the benchmark for the scientists . The number of flu deaths are regretable but it doesn't bring the world to its knees. It's considered socially acceptable , like driving. On a macro economic scale, covid may have already changed the behaviour of many people for many years regardless of a treatment. And then of course the next virus will mutate and jump from animals to humans . These mutations are becoming more frequent. In the future testing ourselves for mutated viruses maybe as frequent as brushing our teeth.

The share price has tanked?? have you seen the graph ?!! It wasn't long ago when this share was 25p and before that 9p. Now look at it! 100p+ . The placing was at 80p. A great result for many, less so for others.

Nevertheless ,you are right in that anyone who jumped onto this ride above 130p and is averaging down could be in for an expensive lesson. We've all been there.

Good question. I coudn't find anything. What was the price range of GDR again $5 to ? per test? It needs to be cheap to penetrate this full market place.

I agree. sales in europe are everything and against a decrease in urgency in europe they are likely to be below expectation. The demand isn't here , at least not at the moment. FDA approval will just give GDR another chance to redeem itself .

-The product is a freeze-dried pellet that can use many proprietary machines, as I understand.
- It is more stable therefore more easily exported.
- It saves lab technicians time therefore more samples can be tested

- It's not first to market in europe, governments seem to be happy with the inaccuracies of antibody testing. As a good friend once said. "since when did the government care about the people it governs?"

- product doesn't yet have approval anywhere else where demand is growning- yet. The havent bothered looking into approval for south america, as of presentation mid-june.
- The window of opportunity is always closing as time passes, but at the same time the window is still getting larger.

@st tropez, Chris whitty stated recently he'd be extremely suprised if there is NOT a big covid problem by Christmas and winter 2021. Enjoy the freedom while you can. Safely and intelligently, of course. Avoid busy beaches, protests and young adults who no longer care for social distancing!

The whole world would've been better off if the WHO's advice in january of "test,test,test" had been assumed. But politicians always think they know better. Lifestyles change and companies should go bust and other companies should grow accordingly. Far too much time and QE is spent on keeping multi-nationals propped up. It's a sordid, corrupt face of capitalism. If governments cared for the lives of the citizens they are mandated to protect, GDR and companies like it would be 500p+ with huge orders for mass testing. But we live in a corrupt world. Good companies DO not make it, yet bad ones are kept propped up by tax-payers money.

No-one knows whether GDR will get sales even if it is given FDA approval, yet at 120+p per share it needs to deliver sales and lots of them.

USA have lost control of covid. Texas locking down again ( I think Trump has now sealed his fate as president). Authorities taking matters into their own hands. An american investment company RNS. Second wave has arrived ( far earlier than I expected). Europe might be next too - I don't see many people caring about social distancing any more. Warning today from IMF (or was it LaGarde?) that investors are gambling that central banks will continue to print the world out of this recession . Time to invest appropriately imo - Short western markets and go long on covid related stock. Surely governments will not ignore GDR's product?

I was referring to areas of the world likely to purchase gdr tests. And my post was a month ago! Generally infection rates are still falling in these areas eg europe. However, this week, outbreaks are occurring. USA and others are undergoing a wave of NEW hospital admissions. The world still needs mass testing on request imo, but will the governments pay for it? Then there is the competition, of course.
India is choosing a cheaper option, according to a news report posted here. last night.

PCR is 99.999% accurate. IMO it beats serology tests hands down, so why less effective I may have missed something. But this might explain any lack of interest in GDR covid products from governments.
