Mr Jayhayes, the other thing about odx is that their CEO recently bought shares (2nd dec). Our CEO hasn't bought any shares in his own company since the SP went north - this in itself speaks volumes. If he had any covidence in his own covid products he would surely have topped up at 40-50p? I think that he fears the SP will fall further and he's focussing on keeping the ii's happy in order to ensure a good bonus/ salary rise. I genuinely fear the CEO of GDR doesn't see value in GDR at the current sp.

I'm looking forward to the indicative results of the POC device this week. They promised to deliver indicative results before the end of the year. I believe GDR will be true to their word. If not, then as we have learned, no news, is bad news.

I agree, if GDR has't sold anything by mid-january then its best to sell and move on, regardless.

perhaps because rapid tests are cheap and anything cheap is always the best alternative, just like Mr Johnson himself, unless the company belongs to a friend in which case services or products will not be cheap but still the best.

dont be heart broken - selling is their loss. This awful covid virus has still not peaked, far from it. I'm reading the remarks from professors about the new variant. It's a matter of time before western governments take covid as seriously as asia and NZ does. Up to now they haven't taken it seriously at all, hence this success of this new mutation and future mutations.

Asked about the possibility of children being more susceptible to the new variant, Prof Ferguson says comparisons with the non-variant show a statistically significant proportion of cases in under-15s.

“Beyond that we know nothing,” he says, adding there could be a number of hypotheses as to why that is the case. He emphasises that while it is a significant shift, it’s “not a huge shift”.

He says outcomes will be examined carefully, with comparisons made between hospitalisation rates (which are rare for children) and overall mortality rates.

I don't think they have a functioning sales channel. There is no evidence of one, so far. I get the impression they out-source sales through distributors and do very little themselves. It's shameful for a CEO of a company to admit that sales were impossible during the first wave due to the travel ban. It sounds more like an excuse to hide the real reason - there have been no sales between the end of the "travel ban" in July and the re-enstatement of incredibly strict travel bans now either. A CEO in denial should realize that the writing is on the wall, however nice he is.

Prof Neil Fergusson , who resigned from sage after visiting his girlfriend during lockdown, was reported to have said by the guardian the day before yesterday, that the new strain does not required the ace-2 receptors to enter cells. Theoretically, this means children , who dont have many ace-2 receptors compared to old adults, may become as badly affected as adults. It may also mean that the new variant of covid becomes as serious for everyone as the original variant currently is for over 40's. Which is why all flights from "plague island " were cancelled - no-one wants their IC units overwhelmed with young adults and children. In the worst case scenario, older people will simply find they are not prioritzed to receive treatment in hospital ie triage. It may also mean that the vaccination strategy will change and young people will be vaccinated first. Only theories of course, but the action of the worlds governments wrt UK speaks volumes. The new strain is potentially more deadly due to hospitals being overrun with covid patients. Only time will tell. Mass testing and and step up of mass vaccinations may be the norm for 2021.

This variant may herald the real second wave (not the remnants of the first wave) . I've looked at hospital admissions for areas of uk and it may be less dangerous but more infectious (also possibly more infectious to children according to Prof Neil Fergusson in the guardian today, which may change the priorities regarding who gets vaccinated first)

@DadsBatty please explain why GDR haven't sold anything to date. Do you really believe it was due to travel restrictions (as you stated previously) or is GDR's product just not as good as you say it is? Or is it because GDR do not know how to sell? thankyou!

Now, if nice Mr Budd would release some news about a commercial agreement with BC, or better still news of tremendous sales in EU and USA then we still have time for an unforgetable GDR christmas party. a word of advice, keep checking lse website for common sense ideas. Perhaps even recruit some holders to sell GDR products - there is a lot of knowledge here. This sharechat puts the drive into genedrive, you'd do well to use it.

I agree. GDR's salesmen will be phoing prospective buyers as we write. The buyers will gladly pick up the phone as they will not be on holiday - covid has cancelled Christmas throughout europe. As such, the buyers and GDR sales people will be even more motivated to roll-out the best covid test the world has ever seen as europe attempts to control covid in europe. GDR's products are approved in europe and ready to go. Even emergency travel will be arranged, if required by the customer. DB will stop at nothing to turn this awful situation around and help the nurses and doctors on the front line arrest covid whilst the vaccine is rolled out, little by little.
