Really grim stuff.
They previously announced to the market £2.9m would be paid by Minto by way of a settlement for his conduct. Specifically in 2024 they said:
"The Settlement Sum will be paid in six annual instalments, with the first payment of £483,333.35 due on 28 March 2024 and subsequent equal instalments of £483,333.33 due on 28 March of each calendar year (with the final instalment payable on 28 March 2029). If a Settlement Sum instalment is not paid on time, then interest will be charged at 8% per annum."
Fast forward to today, they bring him back while FCA investigation into period covering his tenure rumbles on.
They also only now tell market he hasn't paid second instalment due in March, and that they won't bother perusing him for it. Of the £2.9m owed, he's only paid £483k, so what about the rest? Seems shareholders are being asked to wave it goodbye. In fact the company will now be the one to pay him fees! You could not make it up.
