Fair points and agree. Does not seem right that Serica alone should have to bear impact of these outages on something as fundamental as how the company is valued by the market when we don't have majority operational control.

Have to agree, nothing wrong with day trading, but that's all about riding waves of volatility whereas a large cap like this is such a slow burner it only makes sense as a med/long term hold. You might gain 5% here or there punting around on marginal moves but honestly who can be ar-sed.

That's before we even get on to to the environmental risks. Dread to think what insurance is on a basket case like this.

Replacement easier said than done but imagine what the share price would be without this hanging over the company like a rusty old Sword of Damocles At some point reality check needed - and its a case if when not if it needs to the big boat graveyard in the sky. Sooner rather than later.

I don't even see a short term trading opportunity here. People have been saying it's cheap nearly all the way down - there were a few of them trying to argue with me a couple of weeks ago. But anyone buying as late as last month now sitting on 50% loss. Market cap still £50m which is high for distress like this.

Incorrect to say Triton has only been operating 20 years. It was built in 1998. It is nearing the end of its economic life. With a few more sticking plasters it might well stagger on until end of this decade - but the key part is it gets to a stage where the cost overhang and impact on operations becomes greater than savings of sticking with it.

We can debate which year it will last until, but market already knows a replacement will have to be factored in at some point and is already discounting accordingly.

One way to look at it is in terms of equity the latest Triton mishap knocked about £100m off market cap.

Eventually it gets to the stage where cost savings of sticking with an antique like this are more than counteracted by the value destruction it's causing. Suspect they are extremely close to, if not beyond that point now.

No skin here but wanted to offer words of encouragement to those of you planning to hold this disgraceful board to account by voting no. It really does matter this stuff - and beyond this company. We can't risk grubby deals like this becoming normalised but if it does goes ahead you just know it will set a precedent for other unscrupulous types to take inspiration from it. So by voting no, you never know, you may well be end up benefiting UK markets as a whole.

Taiwan seems to be another one of those jam tomorrow tales, they've been talking about spinning it off for years but still no evidence of any kind of sale. When the company is as diminished as this is now, does seem a bit absurd to have a strategy of selling off chunks.

Only thing that might save the equity now is Lombard engaging in a bit of sunk cost fallacy with some kind of debt for equity deal, rather than allowing the natural thing and letting it slip into administration.

Rare to see a move like this on this kind of stock and well deserved. Did suspect market had been underrating the quality of the assets here, the level of demand the company has from tenants says it all.

At this rate we'll be back in FTSE100 before too long.

For contract to be with "a leading global biopharma company" a validation of the tech too. Not every day you see a micro cap biotech enter into deals like this.

With neuroscience R&D spend rocketing and company delivering a real commercial product they are well positioned here.

Good to at least see a proof of life from the company. Now we know they're alive, perhaps they're getting this morsel out the way as precursor for more significant news to come?

Six months+ sounds right to me. Given how slow even routine property transactions are in this country they would be doing well to have it done by end of this year. Realistically I'm expecting full completion early next year but expect to hear more before year end. Accounts would be due by Feb end so that as good a deadline as any.
