An accurate blood test for cancer is as close as it gets to a biotech holy grail. To have that as a concept in the lab is one thing, but being ready to go off the shelf is a hell of an achievement. Amongst all the excitement must say hats off to them.

At some stage big pharma acquisition wings will surely be cranking into gear and noting the ridiculously cheap market cap. Personally I hope they carry on as an independent, and take this all the way. If they've already nailed the prostate cancer test, what's to stop them going for other cancers? Just think of all the other potential applications.

Best to ignore some of those replies, these sorts of rises always bring out the nutters unfortunately, it'll be sour grapes, even though this is a genuine company with a real breakthrough.

Interesting article in Times about how firms are benefiting from a rates windfall in their pension liabilities, resulting in unexpected surpluses. Talks about Wincanton being first, but specifically says other FTSE350 firms look set to follow with the benefit.

Could be a big plus for Reach on horizon, the historic DB schemes have always been a bit of a disproportionate drag. Market hasn't yet recognised this shift here without confirmation from the horse's mouth, but could well do when by the time we get next set of numbers or triennial valuation.

Even a conservative market cap of £1bn - only about 0.6% of the size of AstraZeneca - would represent a 1300% increase from here.

Even if we just went back to the all time high, when this was still in the early lab phase we'd be looking at gains of 700%+. Now the science is proven and the product is off the shelf it surely warrants topping that previous high.

He's an absolute wasteman who is down a fortune even after trying to con others by endlessly ramping hopeless sh*tcos. Now green with envy he missed out here, so much so he lied about being in out of sheer embarrassment, he must feel awful missing what is becoming the biggest biotech story of the year.

Looking at our bidders Autonation has a $6.64B market cap vs Lithia $7.89B, so these are cash rich proper big beasts slugging it out, we're just along for the ride. Hedin were so flakey last time I'm sure they regret that now they're facing these giants, but a threeway fight does mean unlike before one of these is sure to see it through to end.

Interestingly both companies share price has increased by more than 250% in last 5 years, with UK stocks in general and care dealers in particular being so unloved it's easy to see why they find value here.

Interesting to note directors were buying even at 67p+. Could be telling that insiders saw value even at double today's price.

The big drop happened after the AGM update, yesterday's RNS was in line with that, worth reading for details. In a nutshell they forecasted too optimistically and came in below market expectations.

To a certain extent all video game publishers are facing challenge of revenue growth stalling after pandemic boom, having over-hired on expectation growth would be sustainable they now need to cut costs. Some companies have manged this better than others but same applies even to big names like Roblox in US.

In UK FDEV, KWS and TM17 down from highs. Tinybuild is somewhat unique because the market cap is so low and has fallen the most from its peak.

Pendragon now having 3 separate bidders, interestingly 2 bidders backed by massive US chains one of which with an $8bn market cap. Clearly only one can ultimately be successful, so if either of the runners up are looking for a foothold in the UK market good chance they'll look to the alternative - and Vertu would be the one remaining listed UK dealer network.

Agree this is one of those rare investments that has genuine promise to make lives better. Current testing is not just inaccurate but also highly invasive. That's even before the financial upside where unlike big pharma this the equivalent of getting in on the ground floor.

This has become like an eBay auction. Should establish a firm floor now, with Hedin's 32p plus this new bid at 32p certainly lays down the gauntlet and a clear minimum.

And we could well get a counter from Lithia - if they really want it they can certainly afford to up their original bid with their whopping $8bn market cap.

It's striking how much institutional support the share has in general. This isn't like a typical aim stock mainly held by retail and with a board that doesn't care, the fact that bigger players have been onto this a surefire signal this is the real deal. Directors have big conviction too and have been buying for years. It's a case of follow the money.

Back in here, value seems a no-brainer at this level.

Very rare to have such concrete results with clear route to commercialisation in a biotech with market cap this low. There's also a genuine need for this stuff, with what they're testing for being one of the biggest causes of male mortality.

Same on basis it's fallen through all previous support, hard to see where the floor is now. Needs some kind of corporate action to turn it around - suggest a 1p div when it's not generating free cash flow for the foreseeable won't cut it. Otherwise looking like a longer term repair job, which could be tricky unless Sorrell is banking on Murdoch style longevity.

There was single trade of 1,911,289 shares (for a cool £3m), that would be over Amati's holding according to the major shareholder page. Only leaves Liontrust or founder with enough shares for a trade that big so must be former. More interesting perhaps will be who bought.

This has to be a no brainer of a buyout, especially when current market cap pretty much equates to just book value, effectively pricing the cash generated by the business at nil. The re-rating of Lookers and Pendragon after their bids won't have gone unnoticed and should give a bit of urgency to any suiters.

This share just keeps on giving. Ideal scenario now would be if Hedin are countered by Lithia upping the cash component of their offer. Previously 35p was laid down as a marker by Hedin over which they'd 'consider' another bid, assuming their position hasn't changed we might get more juice out of this.
