These awards were based on EBITDA targets and in fairness they smashed them. In the financial year they were given for, they also managed to grow revenue by 50%. I don't know of any other plc that managed that last year - least of all game devs facing tough comparison with pandemic boom. Total nonsense to say the company is performing poorly.

Early days so may still be opportunity to push updates to turn it around, but this initial window was key to get right, especially with the sort of folk who buy on/around release date, and are therefore more keen than most and have ability to influence subsequent opinion.

Agree Arbitrader75 12 month period is significant. I've bought for similar reason, after seeing Lookers deal go through at such a big premium this looks primed for renewed interest from Hedin or private equity.

Court case is immaterial here too. Even if the Chinese outfit somehow manage to not have their claim thrown out, that's what litigation insurance is for. Hedin can't have been too bothered about it as they still haven't sold any shares.

Meanwhile Argo now perilously close to placing price. Not alone amongst micro miners, Digihost & Mawson taken a beating too this month but for Argo it can't help when there's still no sign of a permanent CEO, now 6 months on since PW went. Poor old Seif stuck as interim for 6 months now while they presumably continue to search for someone better.

Riot is a strange one, now being outmined by CIFR & CLSK but its priced so far in excess. To be fair those two hold very little btc by comparison to Riot but imo not enough to account for the huge gap. Mara totally tops them all but at least it's in a similar ballpark for enterprise value.

One thing Riot does have is that of all the miners it probably has the strongest balance sheet, plus more institutional support. But market seems to be putting a ton of faith in it building out EH when it still has a lot to prove.

The amount this Chinese outfit are trying to claim is insane, for a tiny operation with less than $5m of revenue. Effectively they didn't know how to work the software, no wonder they've since been countersued by Pendragon.

Agree CB we'll see a peak pre-halving but for different reason, that it will follow pattern of previous cycles where we tend get a bit toppy just before halving, then deflating after.

Seems counterintuitive but trend likely to do with hype build up never quite matching expectations (like so many things in life). Then expect momentum to build again mid-24 once everyone forgets about the halving. As always it'll be impossible to time a perfect exit but personally aiming to exit all miners early next year regardless.

Exactly Hexam, this board must be about the least rampy on here so why get mad about it lol. Virtually nobody left believes that there is a solid investment case for Argo, the few rampy characters that did mostly scarpered after the placing. But if Argo's in a bit of a mess financially at least it's an actual revenue generating business - QBT is just pure comedy.

ARBK has tended to trade at a premium for a while now, you can confirm next time in that 14:30-16:30 window when both are trading. We can insert our own theory as to why that might be (illiquidity killing arbitrage opportunity, Americans' less cynical sunny disposition etc), but it does mean we can't draw any conclusions about profit or otherwise for the UK shares - UK share price is all that matters for those.

I'm sure they'll assist, Chrysalis interims included wording to effect of "considering all our options" relating to their investment.

Surprised they're limiting the investigation to September 2022. eg Allsworth hung around until May 2023. They might as well go right up to today with Holt selling. As CEO would surely know about looming investigation and therefore was trading with material non-public information. Scope surely has to broaden.

By the way DS I do agree with you totally about the QBT truthers, they're a funny old bunch not sure how they end up leaking over here

In the last period OnDemand was accounted for separately (six months ending 30/06/22) it generated revenue of £51 million. They have emphasized the loss it made in today's RNS but for a unit that was generating circa £100 million revs annually until recently means the management team who bought it out have got the deal of a lifetime.

Imo these ancient judges don't really have a clue what they're looking it so are giving Wright a pass for now, but bitcoin has been an open protocol since the beginning so trying to claim copyright now to me seems akin to trying to shut the stable door after a horse that bolted 14 years ago.
