If that's addressed to me I don't really have an opinion on shorts either way tbh, people on these boards get very worked up about them but it's a free market so of course people will be trading either direction on any given stock.

On 25th September they said about the cash balance: "combined with additional sums receivable from key customers and JV partners, the Board is confident that this provides the Company with sufficient funding to meet its current requirements."

The market would have taken that statement at face value and it was less than a month ago so it is not true to claim a fundraise was already priced in or expected. Until today they had given no indication one be necessary.

For most of us, if you'd have said yesterday we'd get news that the EpiSwitch had been Bupa approved plus another share price gain of 5% we'd be very happy with that.

Some folks get far too worked up by the intraday volatility. It doesn't help when those people on here all day start to hallucinate about this all being a MM conspiracy. Bigger picture this remains a hugely exciting investment. Best to think longer term imo and tune out some of the nonsense posted on here.

Are you seriously asking for proof that there isn't a shadowy cabal manipulating the share price?

Conspiracies market makers or shady cabals somehow controlling the share price are nonsense and should only be used for entertainment purposes. OBD shares are traded algorithmically via SETS. Like most things in life the price is determined by supply and demand, not by spooky conspiracies.

The other player to watch is Hedin who owned about a third of Pendragon. They will end up with a massive chunk of cash from that sale, and we know they wanted to expand their presence in the UK with their ultimately unsuccessful offer for Pendragon. Plus their bid was supported by further cash via a private equity firm. Vertu looks like a bit of an open goal for either Autonation or Hedin.

Not sure if a cutting edge company manufacturing semi-conductor machinery is comparable with one retailing make up and flavoured whey powder.

Looks like the rocket ship is gearing up to launch again. Then imagine what will happen when similar news lands about the PC test - and now they've established this relationship with Bupa that will really open the doors to smooth future certification.

The problem with that is shareholders as a whole have been given no clue about their revenue last week. There are well established disclosure channels they could have used to relay this but haven't. There are pretty strict regs around this and so if it's true that market sensitive information like this has been leaked as widely as you suggest it paints a troubling picture - whether that information is good or bad is secondary.

If not the same the alternative is more than one person is either a) posting inside information but in a way that's a bit nonsensical or b) fully making things up. Not sure which is worse!

If we're doing a Q&A I'd like to know how a mere contractor would know group level revenue for a given week before the market does.

Also if this contractor is as well placed as claimed and is being truthful about properties good question for him would be why haven't they sold the freeholds before getting to the stage of being within weeks of an RCF breach.

Decent price action today, encouraging for those of us who recognised value at the lows. Particularly good to see management seem to have woken up and recognised the need to cut costs during the downturn, and they're not at all hanging around with that timeframe.

If the properties were unencumbered they could simply sale and leaseback. If Ghost's numbers are true it would be enough to clear the RCF, enabling them to tell the bank to go away and then not be forced into a firesale of the firm.

Would even leave a decent chunk of working capital. Definitely something missing from this story.

Do they own the freehold to those properties outright or are they mortgaged?

Yesterday was an excellent insight into the impact ETF approval. Like a cheat code of what could happen, we now know $30k+ btc is nailed on.

Not to jinx it but there now looks to be an inevitability to the SEC giving up this particular fight, I've posted before they have started to look a bit mad trying to hold back the tide, and the longer it goes on arguably the more that's the case.

It looks undeniable value at this level. All UK asset mangers have taken a bit of a beating over the last 2 years but this has stronger foundations than most to build on, for when the market inevitably starts to recover.

Fundamentally it's as sound as ever but climate is so bearish even a small AUM outflow is punished arguably disproportionately. As soon as it has a quarter or two of AUM growth I do expect it to recover quickly. In meantime would like to see them cut costs to maintain margins, eg slashing headcount an easy win.
