Sounds like a good call, nobody ever went broke taking a profit as they say. Anyone who's bought into the good miners during the lows this year has surely earned it.

It's sure to be as choppy as ever from here, has to retrace sometime, but zooming out still feel like we're at a relatively early stage in the cycle. For me these crypto stocks are full hero or zero so having made it this far going to hang on for lambo levels. What could possibly go wrong?

If Wall did say that it would have been a lie. The network difficulty would have to more than halved for that to be the case, that never came close to happening.

So if btc goes up 55% from here, Argo does 4000%? Seems very rational and legit to me.

I wouldn't worry about MSTR selling btw, Saylor is the ultimate bitcoin evangelist and it's now such an integral part of his and the company's identity the two can't really be separated.

For their model I've often thought there would be demand for an equivalent traded here, even preferably without the software part of the biz, a dead simple pure btc holding company. Not sure why nobody's done it when you see junk like KR1 and so few crypto options on LSE. Wouldn't be too difficult to reverse takeover an aim cash shell, raise a few hundred thou, buy bitcoin, raise repeat.

I'm sure they've contributed to the selling pressure, they've been a bit of gift to anyone with btc exposure, grateful they exist tbh. I really like their model of equity for bitcoin, seems mad at first but miners do same thing in a much more roundabout way, just with burden of running costs and depreciating hardware.

It's a very interesting move, having reached this point I reckon they must be looking for 10%, that would give real influence and potential ability to appoint someone to board. They could of course go all the way to 30% until being required to make an offer, but unless they team up with another backer not clear they have firepower for that, and at this rate it'd be slowest takeover ever.

Can never get my head around their excitable wording. Perhaps they believe if they say operational excellence enough times it'll come true? Sometimes sounds like they're talking about a different company altogether, like "transformational time", surely can't be said with a straight face when it's been absolute status quo treading water for the last year.

He certainly seems to have the smarts on the financial side, suppose we'll soon find out if that translates as success in the weird economics of mining and especially one in Argo's predicament. Very generous share awards could explain his rolling the dice here, vesting over 3 years equates to over $1.1m annually at today's SP, that alone (ex salary ex future awards) puts him in league with a FTSE250 CEO.

There's been a change in wording in this RNS. Last time we were told the company intended to "reduce construction activities" pending financing when they aimed to "resume full construction".

They now talk about "a financing plan to restart construction" which implies construction had stopped altogether. Very different from the mere reduction referred to only 13 days ago.

New management seems much more upfront with shareholders already. Indicates that one way or another it won't take long for shareholders to find out the true picture around equity, and with old management gone that there will be no more sugar coating or false impressions given to the market.

Good to see you've come to your senses on BSV. For BCH as with BSV it's worth being wary of these charismatic characters taking you down a bit of a rabbit hole, when they all have vested interests in pushing their own agenda. This was never supposed to be about any one individual and the decentralisation of bitcoin remains its biggest strength.

I've been in this long enough still have a bit of BCH from the fork, away from technicals I can say how toxic some of the BCH people were at that time. They really wanted to burn things to the ground, were always seen as fringe characters and never had anything even close to a consensus. Any story telling by BCH people now shouldn't be taken at face value.

The main thing is the block size debate is ancient history now, look how perfectly it's scaled since 2017 given the exponential rise in demand, there's just no need for these forks.

Does slightly take the shine off all those director buys recently. With 40% of the award based on share price performance at least that's one chunk they're unlikely to be gifted. The other big chunk being purely revenue based is a bit discomforting though, that can always be juiced if bottom line not taken into account.

Fair point grippa, 50 job cuts is significant, and as far as the market knew on 19th Sept they actually pointed out increased headcount in 23 versus 22 as a "financial highlight", strange way to put it when it would only mean more mouths to feed. Market assumption would have been that trend continuing.

That website has it slightly wrong though reporting Michael Pattison as CEO, rather than specifying him just being CEO of internal digital division. This profit warning looks like the recently appointed overall CEO making his mark and throwing predecessor under bus. Job cuts no bad thing btw, can't see why they didn't lay that out even in this RNS. If revenue contracting, cutting expense only option.

Either way it fits with trend of independent video game makers taking an absolute beating lately. 180p was the lowest this has ever been.

Totally agree with others who say too much attention has been given to this particular trial.

I wouldn't give too much weight to that email either, it's just the view of one private organisation. They have such a generic name (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostate_Cancer_UK) it makes them appear quite official but even if they're part funding this trial there's nothing definitive about their views, and most importantly they are separate from the NHS and NICE.

NHS is such a goliath, it'll get there in the end regardless of this organisation simply because the OBD test is the most accurate on the planet. In the meantime US and rest of world have far few barriers to entry and none of these gatekeepers so no wonder company's focus is there.

Weird thing is Novo stake building should have compensated, Vulpes tiny players in comparison. But with it being a decade long hold for them, they must have been aware optics more significant than the average II here, especially if they're selling into multi year lows.

As with OBD having held so long for them to start selling recently is hard to make sense of. Unless they're forced sellers they must know how it looks.
