Certainly no offense taken, but if you did address that to me I'd simply say people can buy and sell however many shares they like, it's a totally free market. The problem in Diggle's case arises from him selling while being on the board. Luckily as shareholders we all get to have a view on that through the voting process.

Anyway this started as such a positive thread let's not get bogged down by actions of a single non-exec that could leave or be ousted anytime. Especially when - as I've said on here many times before - rest of the board have been pretty brilliant imo.

It will be very interesting to track the money that flows into these ETFs as the weeks go by. The beauty of how transparent they are we can simply tot them up to gauge impact. But before we even get that far it'll be highly visible on btc price.

For all the SEC's tough talk on bad actors and manipulators btc is a pretty pure vehicle easily trackable with value determined by straightforward supply/demand. Compared that to oil for example with all the messiness of OPEC cartel, wars and endless middle men.

Maybe investopedia copied their wording from their Gold ETF equivalent page or something. In the same way they hold actual gold and track its spot rate but they're not selling a gold bar every time someone sells. With btc they can rebalance much more swiftly, could be in real time or multiple times a day if they wanted, the SEC filings will have all the details on the mechanics.

Agree Hexam, that pre-market reading must be fuzzy data because today's effectively an IPO day for them. As they'll track spot and buy/sell btc accordingly they won't actually be very interesting to watch price wise. It's the market caps we can get excited about (eventually).

You have a point about the Diggle selling, he undoubtedly killed momentum in the autumn and personally I can't wait to cast my vote against his re-appointment at the next AGM. The thing is he's only a part time non-exec one man band, meanwhile much more significant institutional investors continue to hold and build very large positions here. As for financials we haven't seen any yet since the launch of the PSE test so it's a nonsense to extrapolate anything from historic numbers before anything came to market.

There is definite momentum behind the view that he is the thing holding this back. You can quite easily rate a company and its potential under better management, while believing the present CEO is p*ss poor. Activist shareholders for example do this type of thing - agitating for management shakeups - all the time.

Of all the stocks I hold this is the one truly I believe could go all the way. It's in a different league from the average aim biotech trading on distant hope. Here we have products ready to go, cash being generated and a ground breaking pipeline.

The SEC handling of the announcement with fake tweet then disappearing PDF filing didn't help, plus beforehand widely discussed sell the news theory, but that's all temporary noise. Traders definitely had some fun over the will they/won't they but now the real momentum gear shift can begin.

It's such early days the product is not live yet but there's an inevitability now to vast sums making their way towards bitcoin via the ETFs.

Imo they are going to need to make massive goodwill write-downs in the short term. Whether they start to flag this in the upcoming trading statement who knows, but the carrying value from the various acquisitions has looked ridiculous for a while now given the climate we're in now in and endless misses.

To be fair crazy stocktwits ramping isn't new, it's a firehose of ramp for most tickers. Also looks like mainly one guy going nuts lol. Still ETF hype at an all time high now, miners look primed, we just need Gary to do his job and not drop the ball again.

No question anyone who voted that through either had a vested interest or was a moron. Guaranteed this would have had value as a shell. Note also all those director mouths still being fed despite them having nothing to do since the operating cos are already in different hands.
