Thanks for your insight Ella10.
A4444 - Personally I don't hold much value in CB buying shares, especially only 2e6 - He's an extremely wealthy man and the 100k or so he bought in shares recently is, literally, peanuts to him. A 5/10e6 share purchase would have sent a real message to the market IMO
I'm in agreement on the second paragraph especially having gone through the old RNS's (below) quite bullish indeed (even H2) however, CB does like to take a chance.....
- "We are encouraged by the results of the first two holes which have exceeded our expectations with regard to the extent of the mineralised envelope at the Racecourse deposit.
- The copper-bearing interval in this hole [3] was considerably longer than anticipated, suggesting the possibility that the deposit may be significantly larger than first thought.
- We are pleased to report that Hole BRDD-21-005 has, as anticipated, encountered visually similar mineralisation to that seen in hole BRDD-21-003.
Drill hole BRDD-21-006 was drilled to the north from the same pad as the previous hole, BRDD-21-005, but angled to drill obliquely through the mineral zone, aiming to provide an intercept across the deposit at greater depth down-plunge. The hole has been completed at a final depth of 990.15m, having passed through the full porphyry deposit sequence, with the central potassic alteration zone intersected from approximately 570m to 880m downhole. Chalcopyrite-pyrite-pyrrhotite mineralisation was encountered throughout the potassic zone, similar to that reported for previous Phase One holes through the deposit.
So all reads pretty positive really, even H2 so maybe the grades are not too shabby there.
Logging and core sampling work is continuing and laboratory assay results for the second hole of the programme (BRDD-21-002) are expected shortly, with results for the remaining completed holes to follow in batches. The Company will report on the assay results as they are received and collated.
The crux here, for me, is the term 'collated' - I assume this is the geo's using the data to build up their own model. They could have actually had access to assay data for months now without needing to release the info. Any issues from the AIM Gods and they are covered by stating it had yet to be collated. Could Bird have released this info to the latest investors, or at least given a hint in order to carry out the recent raise?
The way I see it - we should have the complete picture of P1 by end of June so not long to find out if it's boom or bust..
