- End of H1 RNS/Interview
Hole BRDD-20-001, was laid out at -50 degrees to drill down the plunge of the Racecourse copper-gold porphyry deposit. Drilling encountered well-developed potassic alteration and copper mineralisation in the form of disseminated and fracture-fill chalcopyrite from 110m to beyond 1,050m down hole, becoming more irregular towards the finishing depth of 1,147m. The minimum 940m copper intercept confirms that the Racecourse deposit potentially represents a substantial mineralised porphyry system.
The Company is using a hand-held XRF Analyser to provide preliminary indications of copper content and samples for definitive geochemical assay will be submitted to the geochemical laboratory on a progressive basis. Accurate mineral content information for copper, gold and other accompanying elements will only be established by full laboratory analysis.
So based on H1 the company (Contracted experts) decided to change plans for H2 based on results from H1 modelling...CB:'To drill across the cigar and establish grade'...
Feb-6
· Drilling in hole BRDD-21-002 has been extended to the current depth of 846.5m, past the original planned depth of 750m, as the hole has continued to intersect copper mineralisation.
· Mineralisation occurs in the form of disseminated and fracture-fill chalcopyrite throughout the lower marginal alteration zone of the porphyry to the current depth.
CB: 'those who know about porphyry systems know it's not about grade, it's about size' (well, it is about grade to a degree). Those two holes that we've reported have certainly - magnitude wise, have given a strong indication of a very big system.
CB: The grades from the XFR, which we've reported, have been pretty much standard for Lachlan folds. 'Very similar to BODA/ridgeway/NP' I assume he is referring to H1 as H2 grades have not been reported to the market (He could mean both holes ofc which would be good news). Third hole to confirm size...Excited waiting for gold results to complete 'perfect' model. CB states he has no worries in terms of magnitude 'not particularly worried about grade'
So, when he talks about magnitude what does he mean? - Is he talking in terms of meeting AA's clause or meeting, what he stated in a recent podcast,(can't recall which one) he's looking for 2-3 times the current JORC?
My own opinion, they've taken a chance with H2 and it's not met with expectations. Yes it appears there is mineralisation for ~500m which will only add to the JORC but I'm still suspicious as to why the XRF results, if taken, have not been released. My assumption is that they are, in general <.2%?!. I believe this is the reason they've decided not to place H3 where originally intended and are 'playing it safe' with the 3rd.
Might sound a bit negative but I've not quite got my finger on the sell button. The tone from CB has changed from H1 to H2 but ultimately the assays will tell the true story. Also, the current SP bare
