Reduction, replacement and recycling are high on the agenda for plastics. However some will always escape into the environment and they must be made biodegradable to prevent accumulation. The fact that thicker plastic takes longer to degrade than thin is a statement of the obvious and completely irrelevant. Immersion in water does not prevent biodegradation simply slows the process due to lower temperatures. Again this is irrelevant. The important point is that they do biodegrade in a reasonable time frame which will prevent accumulation and mechanical degradation to micro plastics.

The New Scientist Live event at the Excel from 20-23rd September will include a debate on plastics, Lucy Siegle from the BBC's One show will be there ! I hope Symphony have a presence and can set the record straight. I suspect this will attract a lot of attention.

Wrong. Oxo biodegradable plastics are recyclable. They fit into existing uses and infrastructure but if they escape into the environment then they degrade safely without cluttering hedgerows or oceans and WITHOUT producing long lived micro plastic particles.

It is the vegetable product based plastics that can’t be recycled. They too have their uses but are unsuitable for many forms of common use as they degrade too quickly.

I’m surprised. I was expecting a positive interim statement but not for another month. I wonder if there is other news imminent ?

There have been signs of mania in some posts on here. For me the environmental issue is very simple, make plastic biogradable and avoid any accumulation on land or sea - irrespective of reducing its use or recycling. Symphony’s solution for this is either real and works or it doesn’t. If it does - which seems to be the case - it will be adopted and Symphony will do well. Short term peaks and troughs are just the way these things run.

Clearly someone knows something, probably hear tomorrow. Announcement of a new drill ? 80p to £1. Takeover/merger ? Who knows, but I doubt the current board would entertain much less than £3. Prpbably a new drill and 80p ish, but I've got this feeling.....

Hmm, some decent volume being bought today. Maybe an RNS describing the next exploration drill due soon ? I would have thought Sangaw is far from a dead duck.

MMs palyed this well. No commercial find has already been priced in and the price this morning was so low as to lock everyone in. Can only rise from here with new projects/finds/management. Not to mention increasing revenues from the old US fields. Just wondering if now the price is likely to be stable and rising with such a low company value - is this ripe for a take over ? Wouldn't be completely surprising.

Well still no news. They did say about three weeks I suppose. I don't think the silence will go down well today. Hopefully there is good news just around the corner. Hey if the cat's out of the bag may rise later - I hope !

As an AIM listed stock and with no production or significant income it's price reflects its own newsflow not the wider markets. What matters is finding oil - end of story. Best hope is that there is oil in Sangaw and they need another drill to find the main pocket. Hints of that on Monday and we will take off, find it in quantity and it will be £billion company. Without oil it will drift up and down based on current exploration drills and how close to news and/or news content.

Don't get me wrong, very happy to see this on the up. However, this is due to the fact there is an RNS due on Monday nothing to do with bull runs. Every chance the news will be positive or at least neutral so could hold these gains. However, any further bad news and it will sink back. Longer term, clearly an excellent punt at this price and you never know - if there is oil could be champagne time.

Instead of predicting lottery winning numbers I wonder if anyone has the time to calculate SEY revenues from the US production field ? This was sold with a clause giving them revenue from production if oil was over a certain price. OPEC aren't playing ball and oil is rising strongly and may well reach new highs this summer. Five stars available for the most accurate calculation.

Good chance this will fall over the next few days as people short sell in anticipation of negative results from the testing being announced. That will be extra rises when and if the news is good. If you want to play your games little boys that's fine. If you have information, share it, don't b*u*l*l*s*h*i*t.

Now why would someone with the opinion a stock is overvalued and will fall be reading and posting on a message board for that stock ??Hmmmmm, let me think.......

I suspect there are a lot of short options to close this week so could be a nice spike ahead the RNS in mid June.

I shall be buying more today and will await the RNS mid-June. Nothing I've heard or read precludes an oil find.

There's a lot of jittery people out there ! How is todays news bad ? Did GKP suddenly announce the volume and quality of their finds the second the the drill was out ? If anything the RNS is good news. Drilling completed on time and testing underway. This stock is clearly a target for short selling and nervous PIs are moving out. Overall less than £600k of £120m company traded. What reason would there be for not revelaing any bad news as earlier as possible and moving on ? Personally I'm still very optimistic. Bought another batch today. Bottom dollar hear for finding nothing would be around 40p. If that werre the case we would already know and the volumes traded would be many millions. Don't let the shorters shake you out ! Hold firm and watch the price rise.

Looks like this might peak quite high later (75 ?) and fall back ? An opportunity for thte brave...
