You can compare them with your own finger test which is more accurate than Innova. Stick your right index finger up your ar$e, leave for 1 minute, remove and sniff. Smells like Sh$t - negative. No smell - positive.
AffiDX is AN sampling, so only just inside the nose instead of a brain tickler. Not difficult or unpleasant to do - perfect for home use. NCYT test has poor SS stats so not really a goer.
Fully funded even without the additional AffiDX revenue which we will be hearing much more about over the next 10-20 working days and which has the potential to exceed £1billion per annum.
A couple comments. It isn't a simple as considering the mortality rate. The mortality is only low If ICU treatment is available. Whilst it is true that the proportion of infected people who need hospitalisation is low and has been lowered further by vaccination, if infections are allowed to get out of control then that small proportion of millions still threatens NHS capacity and can tip over into many deaths. The high R value of the Delta variant and selection pressure which is making newer variants even more infectious makes this almost probable without intervention and management. Vaccination is definitely helping but isn't solving the problem.
RE: Innova message is getting out there24 Jun 2021 13:01
That’s a false economy. The elderly are now one of the wealthiest sectors of societies with private pensions consistently outperforming salaries for the last few years.
RE: Wembley to host more than 60,000 UEFA fans. Must show EITHER a negative test OR be double vaccinated22 Jun 2021 16:05
It means either not both as the stadium capacity has been reduced to ensure social distancing rules can be met. For a return to normal and full capacity both vaccination and testing will be required.
You wont need to wait for long. Nothing has changed despite the comments from some 'reading between the lines' of yesterdays presentation. Key news flow is imminent and an RNS could land any day that will se the SP double from here. Innova are out of the game in August and between now and then something else will be taking their market.
There is no concern. Validating against a specific variant is utterly pointless as the next variant will become dominant by the time it’s done. What matters is the overall design is of a broad specificity and is unlikely to be affected by mutation. That coupled to the ability to rapidly modify should a new variant start to evade detection makes for a good test. One just like AffiDX for that matter.
