IMO do not worry too much about the port area as is should be very professional, with lots of previous oversize & project cargo experience; and regulated. In my case, the long trek fm the port thru CDI to Mali is the "voyage" of the unexpected.

All Port Facilities should be ISPS Code compliant, so the Terminal should have an ISPS compliant security plan, including security access arrangements, which are subject to audit & certification. Therefore most terminals should have secure storage compunds, free storage time, charged storage time, and area available varies. As I understand there needs to be some free storage time for customs inspn & clearance. Fyi, in some cases, terminals may provide long term secure storage at a cost, as it is cheaper and more secure to secure in the terminal than storing on ownsite, due local security costs, damage, war like activities, cost of local land, (A port in Israel was a previous example).

Just to add, there are 300million+ electric bicycles in China and the numbers in Asia appear to be increasing.

Increasing wealth in Asia, and availability of low-cost electric bikes, mobility sccoters, e-scootersmay be a

factor to their increasing numbers seen in Asia over the recent years.
