Yeah, it makes zero sense to me to sell the “company maker” - it’s cash in hand for however long GH, CB and GGP for as long as they still want to be doing this job. Explorers looks for decades to find something even remotely close to what Havieron is going to be. Once you’ve found something like this you ride it till the cows come home and use any proceeds to continue to grow the company. But like I’ve said in the past, the biggest factor to GGP now and in the future is the human side. It’s all going to be about how far GH and CB want to take us. They might be dreaming about retirement on a beach somewhere or they might want to create a legacy. The ingredients are there for both options. It’s down to them really now, and they deserve it whatever they choose.

What about the selective mining method? I think this will come quicker and deliver production before we get to the cheap bulk mining.

Don't think there's a JV in place with Artemis Dave. Antipa definitely but I don't think Newcrest have anything with Artemis. Have you a link or something to that?

As people have stated previously, the depth is important too. Newcrest stated the depth in the MRE goes down 700m only in that area. We're still hitting excellent grades at over 1400m. Chill, breathe and relax, have another beer and repeat for the next year or two :-) Patience

Guys, everybody needs to relax.Far too much activity on here for a drop that merely puts us back to where we were 5 days ago. This is just another definitive step.

MRE will be updated very 6 weeks with Newcrest's releases I reckon as they stated concentrating on the known areas in order to release the PFS next year. 8 to 12 rigs isn't a small change.

Never been one for guessing share price. Don’t mind GH’s superlatives. But the one I enjoy every six weeks is: “What do you want to read in the new drill results?”

I’m wanting “best intercept to date” again and “open at depth” still! Fingers crossed for tonight folks. Should be good again!! 12/12 just sounds right!

Job description looks genuine to me. Is that an amazing statement about Havieron or what? Don't think we've had such superlatives linked to Havieron before. That description is beyond bullish from whoever wrote it. It looks to be a vacancy for GGP so I'm assuming it would have been signed off by Gervaise or Callum.

Don’t worry about DL folks, he pops his head up every so often to pump another share using GGP. He’s been in and doing it for the last two years. Hasn’t made an iota difference to GGP progress. He has zero say in the company daily running.

Loving all the chat yesterday and today, you can feel the excitement bubbling this weekend in anticipation to the next predicted release. I do agree it will come before our AGM (not necessarily with the MRE), but I can't help feeling that due to our AGM being Tuesday morning, that the Newcrest release could also come tomorrow night as it would still be before our AGM. I hope it's tonight but I'm gonna try and temper my excitement just in case :-)

I'm in a few Aussie shares and they only seem to have a Trading Halt when the news seems to be either really good or really bad, as in it could effect the share price quite substantially. I have a few other miners that released assays without the Halt and they always seemed to be middle of the road results. Let's hope it's the good ones they are gonna give us!! (bear in mind I think this is also subjective to the company issuing the trading halt - apparently some of them do it just to make people have a look at them as trading halts are flagged on the ASX by more traders probably.

I think that makes sense. Happy to be put right if not.

o Newcrest retains its option to acquire an additional 5% interest at fair market value (cumulative interests 75% Newcrest; 25% Greatland). Fair market value will be determined by negotiation between the parties, or, if the parties are unable to agree, then by an independent valuer.

The 5% at fair market value is still available to them I think SocialistB.

Badshah, you're also not really thinking about the timing aspect of this. Newcrest have been blazing through the farm-in stages and the old Havieron JV needed updating in order to move through to the box cut and decline phase. This meant that we needed cash and some sort of deal put through now, so that it wasn't delayed. I also trust the BoD and I reckon they are also thinking of the possible gold price run coming.

Take our time with all our 100% tenements and get the gold out in maybe 10-15 years if lucky,? Or go all out and get as much as we can out of the ground in the next 3-8 years. I know which I'd prefer.

It’s not the full 80%, we make the payment/s from the 80% only and keep the 20% no matter what. If it’s paid up using only 10% then that’s fine too...

And don't forget, last time Newcrest moved along the farming stage it was 1st April, we went up nearly 90% in the month after that announcement. By moving along the farming stages it makes it more plausible to investors that the project is "going to mine" :-) Tomorrow should be fun...two major pieces of news and if by chance they're adding Scally to the mix, then it could be a party.
