Ruck.
I believe Sclp is a very different company now even from the one at the last AGM that investors were able to attend.
For example they have significant funds currently. They have live trials. They have over 50 staff. They don’t need us existing share holders to invest further in new shares.
Personally I’ve never attended an AGM for sclp before as I’ve been happy with the direction of the company since investing many years ago.
Bio co’s take time to get to a stage of commercialisation.
Those, as you say that needed pacifying in the past, probably should not have invested here as a decent return wasn’t likely to be overly quick. They were therefore 100% reliant on SP movement to try and make gains. And certainly not as big a return and as quick as some had demanded.
Hence may I suggest why some people here were happy to buy and hold, because they understood the longer term investment decisions they were making, and some were frustrated by lack of progress and lack of quick returns. Therefore some were impatient and happy to disrupt this and other bbs spouting vitriol at those that did just buy, hold and accumulate happily. Especially as they understood the return was far greater from commercial success rather than trading for minimal gains.
I know why I feel I have followed the correct strategy on this share and have this built a reasonable holding here at a nice average. I do therefore feel that within the next 12 months I may see a very good return for the patience shown.
But obviously I do understand you, and others, may need pacifying if you attend the AGM. So let’s hope you can stay calm like the many many other long term investors in sclp, whilst we hopefully get the rewards we all anticipated.
