Topped up on news sell off, another 28649 shares. Was trying to get them below 50p a few weeks ago bit took an age to offload some fund in my ISA. By which time the share price had surged. Anyway patients has paid off to get them in low 50s. Onwards and upwards (but would like a few more just to make it a round 200k shares). We will see.

Think they were all P&A. So pumped full of cement. It would be easier to re-drill. Also the wells will be in wrong place most likely, and they will want to drill deviated wells to go into the reservoir at an angle to maximise surface area of each well for production, or injection.

Me neither. Never understood at the time. All I can think of is the petrophysics dept at DES were too proud to say their first choices to drill were wrong, so went ahead with their plan A, when RKH drill success had totally superceded there seismic. Madness. Could have only have forgiven them if they had drilled first. Total clowns. Was it not DES who got their Sw number wrong too (where oil turned to water), by making some school boy error with salinity content of formation water.

I'm starting to see you as father of the house here (or mother)! I was a long term holder since 2010. Sunk too much in after the Sealion discovery, and believed in first oil 2016! Lost a load. Eventually bailed out in 2019 thinking it was going nowhere but bankruptcy. Alway kept one eye on it though and bought back in recently after feeling comfortable making a few quid in BTC (yes I relish risk lol). I'm now deeper in than last time in shares but obviously they have been diluted. I do however feel that this time we are nearly there, and can't see any reason Navitas won't sanction FID. That saying I am calling a halt on my purchases at around 40p average. Might buy a few more if it dips, but also not selling generally. Might try and slice a few after FID to buy more back after profit taking, but until first or takeover I'm back long term.

Except Falklands oil is not UK's oil, it's the islanders. Shouldn't bother us on here though ;-)

At least I can sell my shares outwith my ISA on Monday to bed and isa without incurring too much profit and thuss tax liabilities.

I bought around 22k worth in my SIPP, but doing it in two half's saved a few hundred quid as I remember. Definitely worth paying two lots of commission anyway. Unfortunately didn't do thus in my ISA a few weeks earlier, so most likely over paid there.

CJ1986, it's usually better to buy/sell in smaller amounts. The MMs seem to give you a poor price on larger amounts due to low liquidity as I realised after buying my first tranch if shares some weeks ago.

I'm not really sure why some big OC did not take over RKH when it was down in single pennies. They woukd have had a steal! Chevron, Equinox, any of the big boys would have got acess to a new basin for peanuts. That's what happened with Sirius minerals. Anglo American bought out their Woodsmith mine when they were down below 5p and out of money. Lucky RKH still around, but who knows for how long.

Ho much do you pay for hour FX rates? Just bought these too recently, but the fx rates are eye watering. Luckily, like you intend to hold indefinitely.

Yes I would agree with what you say. Too many variables to do a like with like comparison. What I was thinking all things being equal as the old days the price would influenced more by good/bad news with 40% less stock in circulation. But obviously we are in a different situation today, development as opposed to exploration. Does not really matter much to me buying in fresh, just good to bare in mind there are a few extra shares in circulation now as opposed to when I was last invested, so I'll adjust my expectations accordingly.

So around a 40% increase in equity (please correct if wrong). So I should expect 40 % less increase on big news than in the past! Maybe that's a good thing, less volatility. I'll adjust my price expectations accordingly. As I remember Desire (in the day) had more shares in issue vs market cap than RKH, but I may be mistaken.

Well I've decided to build a position back into RKH after being out for some years (just waiting on some funds to clear)! Seems like some good news ahead with FID hopefully this year. I was in here in the explotation days , saw my stake go to the moon, only to come back down again. Thought I had my retirement ticket back in the day! I got out eventually thinking its going nowhere, and what I had left was better put to use elsewhere. I feel I've learnt a lot of lessons these last few years, profit taking being one lesson, so hopefully less mistakes this time round. And have the benefit this time of being able to buy in the ISA wrapper.

I used to follow the old iii board until it got shut down, and recognise a few names on here from those days (Croftoriginal, yeastisrising, longtermthinker all seem to ring a bell, and I'm sure there is more). Seem to rember Marlonmonkey was good content provider. Does he ever post on here does anyone know?

Anyway here I am, or hope to be by the end of the week. Just a question to ask. Does anyone know if there has been any dilution since around 2015? If not this should be good to get to new ATH's once FID announced and FPSO /rig announced. Seems a safer bet now than in the exploration and dozen years after discovery.
