Kev I have never doubted that WRES would come good mate. I have every faith in MM, I believe that we will get a plethora of good news over the coming weeks and months and fully expect to see the SP reflect the true value of the company, and that is way way higher than the ridiculous levels we have at the moment.

Hbob - I know what oldie is like mate Kev - I voted remain but if we ended up with a deal that ensured that the economy was not too detrimentally affected I could and would live with it if that was the will of the majority, I agree that the EEC was good and agree that there are many things wrong in the EU. Things just need to calm down a bit, everyone needs to take a deep breath and consider carefully what they say and what the post online, those who purposefully stir up others and incite others are not the friends of any type of democracy (and I do not mean anyone who posts on here)

Dear all, Irrelevant of whether you are pro leave or pro remain, please heed the advice of the police, and refrain from making any comments that others may interpret in such a way to cause them to behave in an inappropriate way. Our society is fractured, the public is split pretty much down the middle, the politicians simply do not know what to do for the best, obviously those who want to leave no matter what are saying just leave with no deal, whilst those who accept that we should leave but are determined that we must leave with a deal that will not be too detrimental to the uk going forwards obviously won't accept a no deal brexit that they believe will be a disaster for the economy, (and the voting in the commons shows that they are the majority) and then of course we have those who have never wanted to leave and still don't want too. Given the above situation and in attempt to heal the fracture that exists to me the best way forward would be for the commons to agree a deal with the EU that the majority of MPs would be happy with, and then to put that deal with all of the details known to the public in a referendum that will be to either leave with that specific deal or to remain. Whatever the decision then is nobody can argue with it and hopefully we will heal the fracture.

Cookie I haven't been moaning and I do not intend too. Things are still progressing nicely and personally I dont want anymore news until at least the middle of next week, as I want to put a few more in my ISA. Nil desperandum - we are almost there and getting closer everyday, but please everyone keep bemoaning MM as the lower the SP next week the better as far as I am concerned.

Old skool It is impossible to have a debate with anyone regarding figures when their argument when faced with facts from the government is that you can't trust those figures ! It is your figures that are wrong mate along with your thinking, which would appear to be stuck in the past. For the record I agree with Troajan. I hope you enjoyed the rugby.

Old skool Although you haven't actually stated yes or no to my question your rather long response leads me to believe that you are aligned with the ERG, and if that is the case we will never be able to reach agreement. As for democracy :- I also take issue with the argument proffered by pro brexit MPs and pro brexit voters, that the vote is the vote and that no further referendum should be allowed because it would supposedly be undemocratic, how can it be undemocratic to ask people their view now that they know what brexit actually means ? Particularly when at the time of the referendum people like Boris Johnson were stating that we would have an additional £350 million per week put into the NHS and that there would be no "divorce" bill, neither of which were true ! And if asking a similar question again is deemed to be so undemocratic, how can it then be deemed to be democratic for the Government to bring the same deal back to the commons to be voted on so far twice, and now it would seem possibly a third time ? And how can it have been democratic for the government having voted through fixed term parliaments, to then vote through another general election !

Old skool I know that you are a brexiteer, and you are entitled to that view, what i would like to know is would you be happy with a brexit with a customs union ? Or are you a support of the ERG view ?

STV There is no way that if we have to leave that we should be doing so under Mays deal or no deal. I believe that there would be a majority in the commons for a soft brexit such as the Labour Party are suggesting, the only reason that May won't compromise is the same reason we had the damned vote in the first place, she is terrified that the Tory party will split and the hard brexiters who have forced the so called red lines will cause the downfall of the government. She is playing politics to safeguard the tory party it is disgusting. Many people who voted leave and many people who voted remain would be prepared to accept a soft brexit with a customs union
