Hi, Kingfisher68,
A well rounded post, and I agree with most of it, but Telfer has now offered the ability to produce more gold and for longer.
Next weeks results will confirm this, but early figures have shown after uplift costs (Newmont cuts) Greatland Gold is making around $1,000 per ounce.
November results showed almost 30k ounces of Gold recovered, which means an operating profit of $30,000,000.
It's the above figures with how we are valued at $1.7billion.
As long as we recover similar levels going forward, then this companies balance sheet can only going one way.
I fear a consolidation, but the old adage of 'rinse and repeat' isn't overly applicable as we are generating cash. If the board chooses a consolidation and not a buy back, then I'll be gone, as that shows the boards intention towards shareholders.
I only dip in and out of this board as the perennial noise from keyboard warriors hurts my eyes and ears, but with the recent upgrade from Telfer, I truly fail to see how this company hasn't got legs for the medium term, and by then, we will all know of the success (or not) of Havieron.
Happy Sunday all.
GRQ.
