I also pressed the sell trigger.

£15.5k. I got £961.

Fear got to me. I still have my original £32k invested but I had to sell the £15k as that was my profit.

I didn't want greed to make me keep hold of them longer than I needed to.

Are those mining stocks losing you money? And if so, do you see a recovery?

HSBC is nearing its all time high and bank shares are cyclical with their share price, and that's why im mulling over selling some due to the current Sp.

And respectfully, if I was in your position and looking at drawing a pension, I'd do what I can to make my life comfortable.

If you're in a healthy profit with HSBC, then take some out here, unless you rely on dividends to support yourself.

In reality, is HSBC Sp going to make another 20-30% on top of where we are now?

I can't see that happening, but the next whiff of a recession, then we will drop.

Im almost £14k in profit!

I've never made that amount of money before from a share, so I am naturally tempted to sell but then I adk myself what would I do with that money?!

I am not wealthy and I'm not poor. Of course there are things that I could to improve my life but when you live humbly the thought of buying grand items seems somewhat unnatural.

By keeping that money in here, means I'll have more shares, which also means I receive a better dividend but this money is around 5 years worth of dividend all at once.

All of the above is then overulled by stupid greed.

As mentioned, its a pleasant dilemma.

I only recently bought in here (£5k worth) and I have a read a few comments on here that possibly makes me think about how the company (the bosses) have truly performed.

I only bought in at 80p and thought I'd make a couple of quid and I'd also get a fairly handsome dividend income, to my other dividend income shares.

Im very happy to be proven wrong.

I've endured a fair amount of consolidations (AVO, TUI, SOU, RRL, TLO) and neither transitioned positively.

Of course it's not fair to judge a share on d-day or the day after the consolidation date but, GGP has held well, and the market could have easily pulled it back but I guess with the popularity it caused on the ASX opening, and with the strong (so far) revenue, then this consolidation is the one to prove me wrong.

I was a holder here and when family needs impacted my finances, I had to sell up and some peeps on here were a tad unpleasant toward me.

That said, I was always twitchy about the consolidation as I've never been through a successful one that has turned out financially rewarding but, the caveat with this occasion is, the impressive amount of revenue that the last quarterly results produced.

I haven't repeated my concerns of how the Sp will perform post consolidation, and as strong supporter and believer of Greatland Resources, I'll be keeping a close eye on how the share price levels out.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen an update / proactive investors interview from Mr Day, providing an insight into the recent production figures, as doing this would hopefully prop up the Sp during a potentially volatile time.

Nonetheless, I am sure July's quarterly update will be just as impressive as last quarters.

I've just bought £5k here at 82.4p.

I've been progressively watching this share since 70p but I held and held off buying, and then in true me style, I bought , and by now I could have enjoyed a 15% increase and a dividend along the way...

That said, the 7% dividend is attractive and this will add to income seekers like me.

Hello, peeps,

After a long and tiring deliberation, I've had to sell my beloved GGP Shares.

A good friend of mine told me about this promising company, and after a small-ish amount of research, I was immediately sold.

My first buy was at 5.8p (woman, I wish I bought more then....) but I've bought more tranches as we've risen, and now, I was sat on a handsome profit of around £10k, which I appreciate to some of you is peanuts but to me is a princely sum.

I genuinely believe in future growth and if my circumstances were different I would hold, but when faced with the prospect of a lot of money and fear, I had to take what is in front of me.

I was mulling over whether to attend the Sheffield shin-dig with my hubby this weekens (yes, folks, I have lady parts!) but the quick cash has been too much temptation.

I want to wish you all success with your investment here. Telfer has more potential than first thought, and it's likely to continue on for longer than when Havieron comes online. Telfer has been the immediate and mid term financial backbone of our progression.

I want to wish all folk on here, financial success, luck, happiness, and kindness to everyone they meet, as we need to bear in mind, life takes its toll on us in different ways.

There must be lots of other peeps on here who are in similar (and if not better!) financially healthy positions to me, where I have over doubled my investment, and I would imagine they're going through a similar (but very welcome deliberation) as whether to de-risk, but when i dared to consult that on a topical board such as this, I was greeted with unpleasantness when all I've had for this board is admiration on efforts that are made to arrange organised meets.

Ho hum. Life is very fickle.

And that was why I very much tongue in cheek said "sour grapes" but on young rascal was quick to be harsh.

I do agree, surely it must sting with Newmont now knowing Telfer has become a much larger opportunity to what they appeared to sell on.

And, regards selling half. I've been burned too many times on Oilers from years ago.

My newer strategy is to at least try and be balanced when it comes to profits.

I'm also unsure why Newmont are selling off their shares too, and how it could be deemed as a positive thing.

I like to think they're doing so out of sour grapes because we've shown Telfer was a more worthy beast than they had initially believed, but I doubt that to be the case.

Nonetheless, I'm enjoying the uplift in share price as I'm happily doubling my investment.

I'm debating whether to sell half and keep the other as a free ride, which seems like a sensible approach.
