Yep. I only wish I bought more at 6p but sadly I wasn't that wise and or brave.

I've been through at least half a dozen consolidations in my investing lifetime, and none of them prospered.

That said; those companies weren't making the revenue that this one currently is, so therefore I think the whole rinse and repeat scenario here doesn't apply too much but, I just wish, if the company wanted to reduce their shares in issue, then investor confidence would have grown if they had opted for a slow Share buyback scenario.

I guess I have my own hopes about GGP, and also reservations, so it's the devil and angel scenario.

I did mull over (as someone just said) sell my original holding and let the free carry play out.

That is probably the smart choice.

But 7400 posts were most likely on a share price rising via sentiment alone, and or me bailing out at a loss or at a smidgeon of a % increase.

Painful investing years...

So, I'm reaching out for opinions on what others do...

I'm a very fortunate 100% up on my initial investment.

I've invested around £4,900, which GGP has kindly doubled.

I fully expect (mid and long term) for the Sp to rise, but I have been burned a lot over my painful investigation years.

I mainly invested in the O&G sector, and now I primarily invest in dividend paying companies.

I'm just curious, as there must be others on here who have doubled their holding, and I wondered what they've done.

Yes, I know to buy / sell is a personal choice, and it all depends on their circumstances etc...

I'm just reaching out to a wider audience, who I hope are going through the same first world dilemma as me..

Personally, I was hoping the company would go through a Share buyback as opposed to the consolidation.

That would have been a much better reward for shareholders as the Share price would have naturally go up due to less shares in circulation, and comp

This is Jan to March production figures.

This is what I wanted to see. Confirmed valuations of how much they're selling it for. Obviously Newmont continue to take their slice, as per their sales agreement, but this company is still producing half a billion dollars in revenue in such a short time frame.

"Sales of 89,125oz Au and 3,705t Cu at weighted average realised prices of A$4,585/oz gold and A$13,140/t copper, generating revenue of A$458m"

I've always admired *those* that can trade.

I've always admired that can trade, and often wondered how much a person makes after trying to trade a stock.

When I've done it, and held my nerve, I've only made a few percent, and then I've looked back and wondered if that slight amount of angst during that trade is worth it.

I'm always curious to understand other people's perspective and what works for them. I've often got it wrong with share dealing so I generally look to others for their insight.

I haven't got the nerve to trade stocks plus, I feel the rewards aren't high enough compared to the potential risk of not catching it correctly, and then the Sp dropping below your buy in price.

I guess if that happens and you're happy to hold regardless, then it doesn't really matter.

I noticed you said you bought some at around 704p, and if you recently sold some at 763p, that just over an 8% profit.

An 8% profit in a few short days / weeks is not to be sniffed at but unless you're initially putting large amounts of money in, which I certainly can't, it would never work for me.

I bought an extra £1k worth for 10.8p, and I was mulling over whether was the right thing to do, as I'm always loathed to buy when I'm already 100% up in profit, but it seems I was also lucky.

Roll on Mondays quarterly results. The consensus is the results will be good.

I bought £500 worth at £7.29. £500 (inc fees). That equated to 66 shares.

Share price is £7.46, which means I am up 17p per share.

That means I am currently £10.56 in profit however, my HL trading fees were £10.95...

That's precisely what I did. I snarled some at 10.9, and then it dropped to 10.6.

Still happy with the price as I see more growth with the Share price when continued earnings are reported.

Sadly, I don't..

I use HL, and they are quite expensive but I like their reliability and I trust their services, which sadly that comes at a cost!

I've got almost £32k of my own hard earned money in HSBC now, which does cause me some concern but as far as bank stocks go, I'm happy with my choices and I also favour quarterly dividends.

We all know this drop is a false one, and it's come about by one person's actions. The share price will recover, and if I can buy shares today at last Nov/Dec prices, then I'm happy.

What frustrates me is I wouldn't be surprised in this underhand world if Trump and his entourage aren't shorting the market. There's one for the conspiracy theorists.

I've never understood why person's make derogatory comments about a business and or share price that they aren't involved with.

I keep hearing the expression of 'keyboard warrior' and 'troll' and when I hear that, I thank my lucky stars that I haven't grown up in this modern world.

Would I entertain the idea of trolling Tower Resources, which is a share Buysellsrepeats is invested in. Absolutely not. Would I put any of my money in that company now after it's consolidated and diluted their shareholders to the brink of emaciation, absolutely not, but I still wish good luck to anyone that chooses to do so.

Ho hum. The world would be bland if we were all the same.
