its also worth bearing in mind, the company finances were given the massive boost of the oct 2017 £1.5m placing. Where would the co. be without that pi windfall, my guess would be that its all been spent keeping the company afloat during 2018.

moniman - two points - all shareholders here were made aware by the bod that the sales of non core assets with monies received being returned to shareholders by way of increased divs was short term.

i'm comfortable that the remaining non core assets on the STOB books will be diverted towards value creating opportunities, when they are eventually sold.

As to the FLYB sale, i would suggest that many pi's lost money over there by failing to do their own research, and listening to rampers predicting crazy Sp rises.

i did a quick in and out trade over there - made a small profit but didn't hang around. i've yet to see any posts from any rampers over there apologising for misleading others, for contributing towards peoples losses.

many novice investors were seduced to buy in for the "sure win bidding war profits". Several of the worst rampers over there are the most vocal "flyb bod bashers", maybe they also need to look in the mirror each morning, and reflect on their contribution to the losses incurred by many over there.

one thing that does remain for all to see is their posting history, all their old ramping posts are still there to read.Many now have no credibility at all.

as someone holding STOB shares on a free carry, very fortunately, i'm not too worried about short term sp movements, but am looking forward to progress over coming years.

moniman - good to see you are still happy to post here - despite your error in holding for "gold" over on FLYB , what was your highest sp prediction over there -30p / 60p /90p - no i think i recall you finally predicted £1 for FLYB, based on your misjudgement that that would be a massive bidding war, unfortunately for you, you hadn't considered a consortium.

Then you kindly advised us here at STOB, that you had set a £1 buy order for STOB, i guess you'll keep that one open for a while longer as no doubt you'd love to be able to reclaim some credibility as a master investor guru on this board you never know it may come to pass !!

Connect have many decisions to make over the coming months and it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

I agree the subscription shares to buy into the Connect consortium, will have had some short term effect on the sp, but the opportunities for Southend airport look exciting don't you agree.

as bakkerrable mentions the reduction in the div, with future remaining non core asset sales now being utilised towards value creating opportunities. I believe there were circa £149m of these on the books, last August.

I'm looking forward to the capital review, and ongoing plans, but i do expect a little sp turbulence in the shirt term. STOB is a long term income and growth hold for me.

I'm trusting you'll take my little dig with the good humour, with which it was intended, my friend, as in truth we all have our individual views on many plays.

Extra - I've read your various accusations of Mis doings over on the FLYB BB.

You paint a picture of corruption - as yet without actual proof or foundation.

Time will be the judge of the views you present.

Regrettably I am at this present stage unable to comment as I personally was not party nor in attendance when private negotiations took place, between the Flyb bod and any prospective bidders, at any time in the run up to the "connect bid".

May I suggest with your in depth insider knowledge, you arrange meetings with any parties or authorities you believe or feel are likely to review the "due process," of the t/o.. perhaps you can present your evidence to the appropriate authorities.

Super owl - agreed I posted on the 11th Feb, that there will need to be some positive operational news posted before the finals and the AGM.

I'm taking it that you have read the various rns relating to the structure of connect airways ltd.
Particularly the STOB rns dated 11th January - it explains the position.

You will be aware of the % ownership that STOB now holds in connect.

The combination of Flybe and Stobart air will provide additional opportunities to achieve Stobart's target to increase passenger numbers through Southend Airport to 5,000,000 by 2022, at £10 EBITDA per passenger. An aim to which Cyrus capital is fully aligned.

Interesting times.

Drone - TLW has no doubt put many of its longer term holders through the wringer.

Fortunately you called it right and got out with £12.89. others may have held. Some may have bought as the sp dropped away to reduce their average though will probably still be under water.

Others like myself ( overpaid in the summer of 2015 ), took the opportunity to buy an increased stake in early 2016, in a direct battle with the Shorter ODEY, and I'll take this opportunity to again thank him for his arrogance, as he called the long term oil price wrong and had to close his TLW short into a rising TLW sp, losing his investors a great deal of money.

It's true that the past, present and future should all be taken into consideration when investing. But most people's view of their investment will be based on their average, and therefore their paper profit or paper loss.

You have every right to hold a glass half empty viewpoint, balance on these boards is healthy. I suspect you have taken a little flack here as your first post "where did it all go wrong" and your further 25 posts have been somewhat negative. Though you have stated to this BB that you would consider a new buy-in at sub £2.00.

Clearly you hold a passionate view on TLW, it's the only BB where you have posted since you set up your profile on the 28th Jan. That's not to say you don't hold a balanced portfolio, with a wide variety of shares.

May I ask what prompted you to join the TLW debate at this point in time ? Were there not darker days in the recent past, when the debt was higher, the oil price had crashed, ODEY was shorting it and a rights issue was required.

Would you not agree that TLW looks a much better investment than it did 36 months ago my friend.

Extra - I have previously posted my sympathy for Lth's over on FLYB, though over the last three years + there have been numerous opportunities to escape, with the fluctuations in the FLYB sp. The writing has been in the wall for many years over there.

I have less sympathy for those that got on the ramping bandwagon, yes I made a few quid one quick trade over there, but why did people hold through Xmas to early Jan - the answer was greed - suduced by ramping posts regrettably.

How much did you lose on FLYB btw.

Feel free to continue your fight against any injustice you feel was bestowed on you as a FLYB shareholder, my best wishes to you with that.

The £100m + investment in Flyb by the connect, group will ultimately most likely prove beneficial to most stakeholder's in FLYB, but not unsecured shareholder's.

Interesting that you exclude Branson from your frustrations.

As you say let's wait and see if any wrong doings are identified and proven.

In the fullness of time we can debate the matter further, should any factual information contained comes to light.

Wondered how long bitter flyb posters would take to pop over here.

Most who have been with STOB will know I am a long term holder on a free ride having thought in at 100p and top slicing a while back, so effectively am holding here at nil cost.

Have like many read the FLYB bb with interest. Like many I got in on the "up for sale" rns over there and made a quick profit, but like most sensible day traders I got out - particularly when the 40p, 60p, 80p and 100,p share predictions started appearing.

Moni - seem to recall your predictions over there back in November / December - think your highest prediction was for all to hold for a £1 buy out ! Did you not also indicate to the STOB bb that you had set up a buy order here for when STOB dropped to one pound !

Flyb offered 3/4 10% trades here over recent months, which was great.

Extra - your bitterness speaks for itself over on Flyb, but you choose to buy and hold, along with the rampers over there, even when it went quiet and most reasoned posters where suggesting caution. As posters such as smithy, compass and co mentioned, I also suspect the connect t/o will prove fully compliant and legal. You like many hoped for a bidding war - but it didn't materiaise.

You are more than welcome to post here, and I am sure you will take huge pleasure on any fall backs on STOB, though I suspect you will be less happy with any rises. Regrettably your views on the FLYB t/o are well documented, and as such your posts here are likely to be influenced by your FLYB losses, and j derstood by all on this BB.

If by any unlikely event the FLYB bod has any legal case to answer then that will come out in the wash.

The connect deal protected many stakeholders.

Really not where Mr T stands, lost his legal court case with STOB, which will no doubt cost him financially, then so!d shares here to buy FLYB shares !

RRR - your post of 09.52 was the first where you actually seemed to be returning to a semblance of reality, and I thought you may have grasped the short to medium term position here, finally.

But no 10.32 - another crazy post hoping to convince others that all is going to shift quickly.

I appreciate you have posted your position here, bought on the drop in mid Jan, followed that with another average down 4th Jan I think you said then another average down a few days ago. We know you want 10p for you out - but posting more and more desperate one liners won't change things a not.

Have you read Alan's posts on the operational side of things, they are well thought out and balanced imv. You are probably going to to have to sit on your hands for a little while my friend.

I'd read the finals with a fine tooth comb, when they come out in a few weeks, in addition let's wait to gain an understanding of today's rns, and any implications it may hold, good or bad.

I will probably get back in for a potential trade or two when news lands, in the meantime I'd prefer to keep my trading cash liquid than locked in here for the moment.

Btw folks where's degsy almond with his crazy ramps. One thing I have learnt is be very careful when he hits your bb. Something to take on for future trading imo.

My overall thoughts are - I'm positive on the asset here but not the bumbling chaos of the BOD and operational issues which will surely have had an impact on costings as well as timeframes.

Poker chips - I watch DEB with interest, like the majority I would wish that DEB can restructure with the support of all stakeholder's.

The decision taken to write down £512m in goodwill, store impairments and lease provisions etc, was a positive step - perhaps taken a year or two too late

The cancellation of the div has saved DEB £30m roughly in Jan this year - think I have that right, based on the previous 2.4p payout for the final div. ( Happy to be corrected there on the figure), which together with the extended RCF of £40m has provided some breathing space for further refinancing and recapitalisation.

These negotiations will be conducted with the bond in mind though it does not mature till July 2021. Do you see any option other than debt for equity for bondholders.

Whilst I acknowledge the credit rating on the present bond, do you see any potential for a partial replacement bond ?

Or do you see the overall financial position as an impairment to any such additional option.

I would welcome your thoughts.

Addicknt - not a moron as he doesn't risk his own funds - he risks his investors money.

Basically ODEY completely missed the oil price recovery on his TLW disaster short.

That with his view on the debt position which now looks much more comfortable and should continue on a downward trend.

For the life of me I just don't get people who risk their money on his ego.

I'd much rather trade myself with my size of trading volumes, in and out if necessary or hold for the growth and income.

A bit like a yacht buzzing around a slow to react super tanker with a guy with an ego the size of California at the helm.

Addicknt - check out how much ODEY lost his investorss when shorting TLW not many months ago.

I was holding there, when he foolishly short it big time. I am still invested there - iI bet against his "short gamble" on TLW and increased my holding there by over 250%

TLW recovered, ODEY had to sell his short into the rise, costing his investors dear. It was all over the financial news at the time.

May I take this opportunity to once again thank his arrogance for my good fortune. If any of his investorss are reading this I am of course sorry for your loss on that ODEY shambles.

I am guessing your strategy is to gamble that you'll find someone to sell your shares to in the short-term, at a profit.

That is before 1p or administration.

That requires you to find someone who would be prepared to gamble at a higher price than you recently paid.

Anything can happen and you may well find a willing punter. But surely that punter will have to quickly find another "mark" before taking a haircut !

It was a general view of ex holders nursing losses, and frustrations, which I've witnessed on numerous bb's

As I mentioned I don't have a no!ding here, so have no axe to grind.

One other characteristic of the disillusioned doom and gloom ex holders the absolute crushing need to have the last word.
