Even Mr Market likes the update up 26% at one point. Hopefully it will go off the boil a bit when it becomes old news and then maybe it might be time to follow the directors.

I used to read and take note of Questor only because it seemed more substantial and factual that say tips in the Sun. Although I have learned that most tips are just that, one persons opinion. My concern is that I bought for the rising divi and it has done well for me over the period I have held but as the divi is paid based on euros, this has knocked what would have been a good rise. What will QE do to this. I assume that the Euro is likely to fall (that is their plan isn't it) so ULVR might have to run just to stand still. More worryingly is the SP might artificially inflate and it will be difficult to tell the real improvement from the other. I have previously stated I would like some more but cant seem to find a cheap opportunity to add but maybe Im just being greedy. So it look like I will be taking Questors advise and holding but I already knew that before they published.

JD, well its been falling in a roller coaster fashion for a while except each rise has failed to reach back up to the last, well until now. The market has been on the up a tad too. Where have the QE, terror, Greek woe's gone? Not to mention an election here that might add more tax/rules/restrictions. Maybe the thought of all that and any possible divi cut were not enough to drag it any lower and it was seen as cheap enough. Time will tell but its looking more positive now.

The board summed up the results with things will get better later in the year. for me the divi, which is important to myself, was held, although it did go up 6% last qtr. With debt and pension increasing, out of context seem quite bad. FCF would cover that debt, nearly. It looks like they are trying to adapt to the changing wider environment and FX that has been working against them. I wonder how future issues such as euro QE might effect my investment? The divi might fall in relative terms as the euro weakens, will the sp rise?

Arminius, after the placing I thought things would be a lot worse than this hence my surprise as I was expecting the money to be running out. Oil getting cheaper wont aid them either but maybe they have more time to improve things. A sale? To better management .......um!

mono, yes but I am just sat collecting the divis atm. US is not cheap so not tempted to add more plus lots of debt. Thats not to say this will fall and it could rise even more as there are not too many other options right now. So its watch and wait with me to see how this pans out.

Nice to see this has cash in the bank. I was a bit perturbed when they did the cash call last year as it seemed out of context. Yes oil is getting cheaper but will balance out over time. So long term this still looks to have prospects but I was hoping to be closer atm.

Well I missed that opportunity with the pick up in the market. So I will have to wait. It might be better for me in the next tax year anyway. There are many who think that this will go down to 80p, is that because of divi concerns or the government slapping extra tax and limits on them. Oh well there will be other chances to buy something cheap down the road or maybe even here if some are right about the price fall and it has been in a downward trend. Over 8% divi though, can it be maintained?

Liberalman, yes different brokers. Added some more this morning safely within the ISA wrapper but not at the monthly top up deal price. Will also be selling a few non ISA shares to end up roughly where I was but with remaining tucked up inside the wrapper pending what the tax man or woman wants to do. Hope a bit of fat fingering doesnt turn out to be a tax nightmare later on.

I used a monthly purchase option to buy some more of these yesterday. The trial of the system had mixed results. The SP rose during the day so I was concerned what price I would actually get. Just over 108 so I was quite surprised was expecting a 111p. I dont know when they actually purchase them unlike a normal trade. The bad news is that being unfamiliar with the system, it didnt just use my ISA wrapped dividend income but also added more from my bank, taking me over the ISA limit. So I have had to contact the tax man to tell them I have been a naughty boy. Apparently I cant correct it by withdrawing the over subscription and will have to wait on the naughty step until the end of the tax year to find out my fate. I do know how the monthly top up system works correctly though and I hope the tax man sees me as human and not some Gary Barlow type.

mj, Im not telling you to do anything but looking at things from my own perspective as I bought some in the dip and they have done well to date. So maybe I done the buy low bit. As its now risen some from those lows I suppose I could sell (Sell High) for my profit and it will have been seen to have been a successful trade. Hopefully you sold high. Unfortunately I bought for income, So Im holding for the divi and so far not reinvested any back here yet. Is that like selling a bit high? So far divi has been rising but as you point out some of the figures are not great. That begs the question is it a buy now? Maybe if it falls again I can add some divis back in to increase my holdings especially if a re balance is needed in the PF I think you have to decide on how well you think your doing and if you have done the right thing. Hindsight is great at telling you if your right or wrong but remember its only a snap shot. My Tesco holding was looking good at one time but not so good today and I dont know what it will be in 5 years time just the same as this. Hopefully both will do me proud over time. Often you want conflicting things low price to buy more and then a high price cos it looks like you have done well. Im happy to hold for a rising divi but cover is thin and risks remain. Do you feel less risky now? maybe thats your real answer

Well another steady and good set of results and a 6% increase in the interim divi. Guess that I will be holding onto these despite what my spreadsheet is telling me. Might have to wait for some market dips to see if I can add any more but I struggle to pay more for something. It was Buffet who said price is what you pay, value is what you get. So are these worth the increased price? In hindsight that previous failed attempt at a top up in the 630's is looking woeful. Might have to go back and see what I bought instead. Hope it wasnt Tesco!
