Rokerman, They say its time not timing that is the key. You have to start somewhere and unless you have a time machine you cant by cheaper ....... until the next market wobble. Yes its nice if the SP rises just after you have bought but if you intend buying more or reinvesting divis then it might be better if it does fall if your in no rush to sell. Read up on Buffets hamberger comment he explains it better. Divi investing is also supposed to be a big part of overall returns and the good news is its a quarterly divi here. Check back in 5 years and you might find out that you are smart too.

Suz H joke fell flat and also commented on BHS, said there was little cross connect so very little picked up from their demise and didnt sound too positive about SPD having more concessions although finished by saying that they were busy with other things. Keep off the divi sign worked and pension now has a deficit of -£4m, some £30m swing. The expected headwinds have been a drag but progress is being made. Another £40m off debt and there are further improvements to come to help offset some of those headwinds. A bit disappointed its only expected to fall another £10m in 2017 Never really thought about oil prices affecting Debs but I suppose its obvious really in a global economy. EPS down a tad, fcf up a tad. Market down today so Debs will ........ I will leave that forecast to the chart n traders whilst I sit n wait for the divi.

As it does the opposite that means it will go under 50p! Still better value than BHS's pound? well we will know tomorrow.

I'm sure there are and I already hold some (and some worse) but its these I hold that are my concern. I wonder if Debs sell "Keep off the divi" signs.

Selling shares here and lots of other places too I have noticed. Are they running out of money? I take it they are not going to bid now then. I note Telegraph's Questor is saying this is a buy. I have mixed feelings on Questor but they seem to be on the same wavelength as me at the moment. Conformation bias at its finest

Suf, I dont want to sell at your target price, is it ok if instead of marching together, I stroll along on my own and just keep collecting the progressive divi. I might even suggest you keep a tad of that holding too, Buster might enjoy the odd flight down memory lane

Some interesting thoughts on the bank and some outside issues. Saw an article on Trump/Clinton, upshot was shares would be up more in year 1 and less so in year 2 and the other way round for the other so net effect roughly the same. Still makes you wonder why these are the "best two" out of the whole USA. Just started watching Designated Survivor, maybe starting from scratch might be a better option. I wonder if the Queen would talk them back?

Just doing a kitchen refurbishment and it had me thinking of new kitchen sinks. I wonder if Sergio Bucher is also considering kitchen sinks, or sinking. Its not an uncommon thing for the new comer to do, blame the old guard, get your own plan in and buy some time. Lots of articles on how hes going to solve the pension. Well hes not going to be able to do that, too many external factors beyond his control. He might have to stump up more at some point. My nice divi could be rebased, sounds much nicer than cut! I suppose it depends on where he sees Debs going in the future and how much its going to cost to get there sooner. Well not too long to find out actual details from the horse's mouth although its not listed on LSE's website for this week

suf,, HSBA has one big advantage over STAN IMO ........ A divi, a great big fat one. I have a couple of orange shaded areas on my spreadsheet where Stan's divi should have been. Still not too long to pay day here

Although you would think a UK bank might be more interested in the UK. Maybe global bank might be a better term
