beatrootjuice, I agree that the divi will remain, well in the near term at least but not for the reasons you mention. I dont see that paying a divi to a particular investor either me or a royal member is an issue as its paid per share whoever owns it.
Also I am unsure of being able to borrow in decent amounts at negative rates otherwise they would be loading up on debt and buy back shares to cover it. Debt will rise, as expected whilst they get leaner and once the new era POO and shells costs sort themselves out, only then will any change take place.
Im hoping they use the time to become more profitable whatever the poo thereby continuing to pay my and the royals divis. Divi growth might be limited until the balance is sorted.
I suppose the real question is on the rate of change and time needed to adjust because it can go on ad infinitum. Im sure there are bigger holders than the royals but suspect the royals hold A's not B's
