I think it wont be cut now but if the changes dont work then it has too at some time. This I suspect wont happen but would be a few years away IMV if it did. POO can move quite quickly it want long ago that $200 was being talked about. Its just as likely to swing from $20 - $200. The lower £ might give them more time too

Ted Baker doing well, also sold in Debs stores but not in pound shops. One pound shop closed when the 99p store opened across the road (true story) Ted also noting challenging conditions, isn't it always challenging? Maybe not but I dont remember it ever being easy Debs opening up on the day ........... but that means now't these days

SP risen, buyback etc. Lloyds looks cheaper on paper knocked back on brexit/pound concerns. I suppose if the UK goes to hell in a handcart these might follow but would the SP fall be your biggest worry then? Roce, p/e Tier1 look better on the black horse. Both have a progressive divi policy I suppose its how quick HSBA can recycle its dosh into better rates. Lloyds seems to be getting there faster and bad sentiment is priced in IMO. Still you have to decide what price you paid and your own divi yield added any outlook for both ie will the SP fall too much once the buyback (if you can call it that) stops and the £ reverses Let us know what you decide

I suppose the real question is if the black orse stumbles down to 45p would you swap banks. HSBC's yield is falling as the SP rises and the metrics for the orse look much better then here right now. Then again there is no sure thing with ponies even if they look good in the paddock. Horse burgers or Turkey for Christmas dinner? If the pound keeps falling at this rate we will all be millionaires when the divi is converted but those caravans will get more expensive as we cant all fly off to Spain for our jollies

What have I done to offend you? Although it looks like your easily offended and it also looks like it not me its the rest of the world too. Im sorry that I disagree with your rosy view of VLK but as the shareholders dont control it any longer now as its owned by the banks I put this high up on my list rather than picking out one bit thats doing ok. The positive spin by management might have more credence if I trusted them but I dont. Yes cuts can be made, bankers might give them a bit of time and it could be turned round but I dont think any of that likely to happen without more capital. Again if I trusted management I might think that they would look after all shareholders by offering them chance to a discounted placing but I dont. So the risk is not worth the reward even though I can buy back in again cheaper. As for your arguments, or is that name calling, well I expect that in a school yard. Please grow up and if the glass is half full state your case properly with fact and opinions or are you going to take your ball home.
