Toffs, no advice intended just a comparison. Maybe things aren't as rigged as you think but its sometimes difficult to see the screen when the sun is so bright and your fingers sticky with P20. I hope you didnt loose too much on all those trades. End of the down days today so sad face for me. I wish they could manipulate it a bit lower or are they just trying to tempt me to part with my hard earnt before showing me a real bargain.

Just has a look at HL's five income shares. I already have 3, some different REITs and Astra's opposite, GSK which has a preferred quarterly divi instead. So maybe Im doing ok. How much is click bait to persuade punters to inflate HL's charges and fees. Yes Morrision's was disconnected from fundamentals hence the rise although I differ on the reasons why. I dont buy into the market manipulation thing. If you want to go short, then a higher SP must be better for you surely? Is it the best riser in europe? All companies have headwinds and the trick is to catch them in a temporary blip when they are under valued. My take is:- Whats the property worth and the market cap. Is the supermarket a free add on then?

NKOTB - Always nice to get your hands on a divi and the options it gives. As for what price to rebuy it looks like now according to Queeny. She seems to do ok dipping in n out. Even rbrand agrees. Eljackson, Its OK to moan, I do several rants every now and again on these bb's, not that it does much but like you point out, its good to get it off your chest. Yes hindsight is great and 20/20 but you have to make what you think is the right call at the time. Lots of different ways to deal with crusts, some cut them off others have the staff remove them. Apparently crusts make your hair curl. No matter which way you go we all like to make the odd crumb. Difficult to predict? In the short term maybe but longer term much I suspect there is a high chance it will be up. The good thing about averaging down is the better divi yield, if as Webbs points out, you have the capital or I might suggest some divi income going spare. I'm sure I read somewhere that time and reinvested dividends help a lot along the way. Still if youve sold, there might be opportunities to buy back lower, markets can be mad. FTSE now down on the year, so much for higher highs. Still they too will be broken again at some point.

I think the ex divi will only drop it 1.5%. Ok the market might make a bigger difference either way. So you were long and short but now just short. The divis tend to be a lot more stable over time, so I'm gonna stick with that. Not sure I would be comfortable with high leveraged anything. Futures showing a weaker start expected today. Maybe Queeny can bag her 53p and make another quick buck. I should allow myself a little trading pot but doubt I would be any good and it might confuse my longer term thinking. So how low will markets drift 6800 seems likely might be a better time to be looking for some additions. Of course the odd tweet from across the pond might throw a bag of spanners in the gubbins here n there. Wonder if Trump would welcome some Debs stores opening over there, didn't work for Tesco though.

I wouldnt recommend Webbs way of doing things but if it works for him all well n good. We are at opposite ends on this really. I wasn't knocking your sale, just mentioning to Webbs that you might help him to exit whereas I'm not. As for Tesco, lets just say I did better than Buffet and if they were still paying a divi I might still be in. Maybe any rebuy might define if it becomes a winner. Currently is not a winner. Is Debs a buy at 53p? Cant really answer that one although I did buy last time around here but that was pre divi so its still 55.5 in old money. The toppy market and new man put me off a tad buying anything at the moment but sometimes you have to start somewhere. As long as they keep the divi going I can see it being a bad long term investment. Shorter might give you a better entry if your lucky with timing. How much of the bad news has been priced in down here, I suspect most things are covered. Need to decide where to put next weeks divi, Debs, Tesco or Pnn. I suspect it will be "pot" until I get back home unless I get a text or email that tells me something has hit a level. Fortunately no unpleasant things planned for me this week unless Mrs G wants to do excess shopping.
