I'd say increasing one's position at this level should be a fairly safe bet. I took another tranche of shares at year end and now sitting on a mountain of shares waiting for more RNS and updates from the company. I suspect that 2020 will end up over time as a pivotal year in the history of the company. Time will tell, but for someone like me that's been here literally from the beginning this next 12 months should be "quite interesting" and I am idly sitting by waiting patiently for the turn.
NicetoMichu, yep I'm the eternal optimist here and with each RNS it looks like I have good reason to be. My mountain of shares got a little bigger toward year end and me awaits further good news. I'd like to toss in one more possibility to the mix and that is I believe Novartis is watching and paying attention. Their not about to give up their position nor their revenue stream for this SLAR product. So I'm of the opinion that if greater progress is made towards approval and the manufacturing facility ramps as expected, then Midatech could be a potential target as their product will be looked at as a competitor and dominance over SLAR. This wouldn't be a stretch at all for Novartis to swoop in and make an offer before others. Just my two cents and on speculation. Time will tell if I am correct and if my investment truly pays off in the end, I am hoping it does pay off and willing to wait another five years to see. In the interim I will continue to build my position. GLTA. off to the pub soon for me pints of stout...
While watching AIM (Dreaded) here, I also have to remind myself of the listing over in the states which is publically traded on the NAZ and their listing has SEC rules. The number one pesky rule seems to be the minimum bid of one $1.00 and if the stock trades for thirty consecutive days under that minimum bid it will trigger the dreaded letter by the SEC. Yesterday marked the thirty 30 day period of consecutive trades under the minimum. So the company will have to acknowledge that and list it publically along with potential ways to remediate the deficiency. I Frankly view it as rubbish but it brings into focus that something must be done to get the SP higher, and that I believe is just around the corner. I plan to top up before the new year with a wee-bit more of this to add to me mountainous share base. This has to pan out over due course as many folks and especially children are in need of newer meds to treat debilitating illnesses. Soon I'd like to see this at 25p and headed higher... I hope. GLTA
Someone asked me what news I was expecting prior to end of year.....well I'd say this is news.
I'd suspect RNS or at least an update over the next two weeks. My gut say's its' time for a meaningful release and update, so this is just a hunch of mine. One such news update over the U.S side will be yet another letter from the SEC and NAZ stating that their SP is once again too low and they will be delisted if they don't push it higher. But alas hoping that the news will drift it higher in the medium term. Good luck to everyone, we could use some news.
Probably a very good buy at this point. I'm the eternal optimist here and believe that not only will it come good, but that something good will come from this companies long effort. Could be that some family has hope for their child or some one in need of medical breakthrough gets a break. I see over in the states the SP has declined below that NAZ listing requirement yet again, but hope its only temporary. Regardless I am going to take advantage of the sun this afternoon and take a brisk walk to get to me pub for F/C's and pints, before the rain sets in tomorrow.. GLTA ....Cheers.
While no specific mention of Midatech it's my read that hawkers are out there willing to scoop these mismanaged funds up for a fraction of their initial investments. I'd suspect a fair sized move upward here before end of year on X110 news, next steps with Diabetes vaccine and probably a general or surprise announcement with partnership testing. All should bode well and if AIM doesn't move handedly, on these updates 9-10p + I'd be shocked. All just my speculation, own research and DD. Good luck to all and we only have weeks before end of year so fingers crossed for some news.
Under 4p I couldn't resist picking up another small tranche under 10k shares and stashing it to me pile. AIM is not taking into consideration all of the shuffling and new ownership taking place. My guess is that most of Woodfords shed of shares won't even come to market and I also bet that some of those facilities over in the states that have helped out tremendously with the studies of x110 may being given or provided the opportunity to take a sizable position before any major announcement. That way they can share in the successes for which they themselves have been a part of, but this is speculation on my part but seems a credible theory. Either way I am buying at these junctures and remain an optimist as first and foremost I really do want to see the fruits of these labors help those whom are in need of medical advancements. when word gets out the SP will rise and then it can eventually be pay day for me as well.
Viveka these are now being owned over in the U.S. by Armistice Capital, Llc as they've filed a 13 showing nearly 10% ownership. On another note I am looking for some news in the next two coming weeks on X110 and filing or results. Don't think 4p range is here to much longer. All my 2 cents and hope the best for all.
I am planning to add to me stash today and add a healthy tranche to my existing. I am then also planning to go and have me F&C's with malt vinegar and with a few pints O'Stout this afternoon before the rain and colder temps come creeping in. I can only speculate that this current 3-4p range will be short lived and with news propel much higher. It's speculation and gambling at best, but it the trials fair well, then a spike will come no doubt. GLTA
Good reading your post and inter actions here as well, NicetoMichu. I'd say that I was referring to the raise in general. As I'd find it odd that a retail buyer or II would plop down roughly $3 mil or so depending on the market (AIM or Naz) in taking up a sizable position here and not expect anything other than a heavy pay-day down the road. Either market that's a sizable chunk to invest, just to do so with fingers crossed and wishful thinking. No I'd suspect that this buyer wanted to take up some sizable position, question is why? and why now? If I only knew, but their buying and along with the CFO has me thinking that it could be a good time for me to follow suit at these low (below 5p) valuations. Just my hunch and just my thoughts here, could mean nothing and yes they could do another raise but who knows. All this action has me planning a pint or two of stout later this afternoon, thinking of the size of Tranche to add Thursday.
I'd say the CFO knew what he was doing, precisely timed his buy's ahead of the raise, interim loss but forthcoming news will likely make his buy's look staggeringly smart. I'd suspect that there are already filings occurring for x110 and FDA review and after the dust settles here with the raise, news will hopefully propel the shares forward into 2020. Can't believe that some retail buyer was happy to force a deal at 3.4p and not expect a multi-bagger in the coming months. We'll see, but for now and for me, when they buy so do I and I'm lining myself up for yet another tranche on Thursday as I feel that might be a good luck day to buy more shares.. We'll see it's speculation and DD but, I've got to believe that this eventually comes good.
Sounds Plausible NicetoMichu and to add that there could also be talks with other II's that might perhaps want to absorb those into their own holdings or Link could also be contacting the likes of CMS to gauge their interests. I assume most anything is plausible here.
Wow...I was busy in meetings all morning and didn't catch this bit of news. Well I agree that some one or some firm will or has likely picked this overage up on the cheap side and hopefully it doesn't drip back into the regular AIM or we'd be looking at 3-4p range if this dripped in over the course of remainder of the year. Let's wait and see if a new company files for the 14-15% as a new holder with voting rights. I agree it wouldn't be CMS or they'd maybe have to take over and I wouldn't want to see that play out. very thankfully we haven't seen a massive dilution so maybe a fund or II will step forward. Also we need that Q4 X110 news soon if the mixed shelf is to get a decent raise for some good funding. Would like to see 25-30p and a $5.00 P/S stateside ask for the raise as that would help fill the coffers as we ramp X201. GLTA
Niceto Muchu, Based on my own research and previous articles listed from 2017 I would concur with your sentiment and views that the equity fund holdings are not these early stage Pharma and/or Bio's. Besides if that timing serves me correct Mr. Stamp probably wouldn't have thrown good money at the possibility of a large fund closing out here. I'd rather say that we're hopefully nearing the time for major X110 update, and possible news regarding the Mixed Shelf offering when the stock pops on that news. These low 5'p ranges are nothing but a buying opportunity to me and others like Stamp.....cheers.
The CFO buying at 6.75p is most certainly a "stamp of approval" in my book and glad I added more at 5.15p - 5.35p range. I'd suspect that if he had no issues with the last purchase then he probably knows it was a good investment. I might suspect that as we head into the new year we may see some sort of news related to some possible non-dilutive raise or deal on top of news for X110 & X201. If I were a betting man I'd say that 2020 has this company turning the corner and it will look much dramatically different S/P wise than this year. CMS will likely release their own news about something and then we turn the corner and we're off to the races. Can't imagine any other logical outcome reason for the continued internal buying. Time will tell and we shall see as yes it's just my speculation.. Cheer's
Volume across the pond picked up over the past week of news and I's suspect that more news on the way. Seems we have another raise forecasted as we head into 2020 but that will be coupled with more news paving the way. it's been a tad of time since I've added here to the mountain I already have amassed, but I feel this final few months of 2019 may be opportune time to do so. I'm feeling a bit more positive going into 2020 then I was a year ago before the CMS venture, so I think adding a few thousand more wont be a bad bet as I don't think we will dip below 5p so buying now (like the CFO) in low 5p territory could be prudent. Now bring on the 110 results as I need to go later this week for me pints of Porters and F&C's it's been a while..
I'd suspect based on a hunch that some news may be released over the coming couple of weeks but not certain. It's my hunch that besides the 1H results that we'll also get an update on 110 program and maybe even a stich of NEWS regarding any updates with CMS tie up from Jan. All just a hunch of mine, take care and keep tuned.
Ah....A very important add to the management team IMHO. Frédéric Duchesne is well respected, and brings a talent to the board regarding "manufacturing and start-up" from a variety of big pharma names. He commented on one more crucial data point. ( quote) Frédéric Duchesne commented: "I am delighted to join the Midatech Board and very much look forward to contributing to the success of the Company in any way I can. I am impressed by Midatech's innovative programmes and drug delivery technologies, the recent progress and clear potential of the Company for the future. The Company's focus on making a difference for patients suffering from rare oncology diseases is an exciting and stimulating opportunity that was also a key factor in my decision to join the Board. I'm honoured to be joining the Board and I look forward to working with the management team."
Seems as though he sees the value here as well in our technologies , to not only make a difference for patients, but lets also begin to make a difference for the shareholders. He's got my vote so let's start seeing the factory in Balboa spin up and set those manufacturing channels up.
I will look to take profit myself on the mountain of shares I've amassed over the years, but not before 250p - 300p range I am in no hurry to retire at the moment, but the year 2025 and that price range could be quite possible. GL there MIchu and no shame in taking profit big or small as you say free money is better than no money...nice for you.
