WTF It's been a ride......I will still have me F&C's and hoist a Porter on Friday's but took a beating on this pup. I may see if stateside has the same core issues? In theory the concept is good and coming up with a cure for this is vital, money can be made here if timing is right. GLTA and away with AIM listing.
Silver, Nice2Michu and WTF....All are aware that I bailed out of a mountain of shares back at like 38-42p after seeing that the management seemed to make one bad decision after another and cut internal programs, research, change CEO's and board members too often and qtr after qtr of bad RNS's. Can't blame any of you holders as this is all poor management. Hoist a pint and seek other investments.
Not been a player for couple a years now and sold out all shares some 20-30 months ago, this has just gotten worse by the day, week, month since then. Don't see any posts by usual suspects that I chatted with back in the day. Now reading this latest RNS seems game they plan to makeover the whole firm, dwindle down everyone's positions, drop AIM get new blood from the states on NAZ and start over with a whole new direction. Problem is its like basically filing for bankruptcy and starting over but only the shareholders are the real losers here. Good luck all....I won't be a buyer again at least not until the dust settles.
Nice2- You still around? It's been some long time since I posted and gave this up for dead long ago. Reading through the proposed merger, acquisition not sure exactly how it all plays out, but maybe its a good move? Any way this has been far too long in the making and by the looks of the upcoming trials they have one patient registered, so you really can't ,make any conclusions on that. I may and that is a maybe "tip toe" back in here and there and scoop up some on the cheap. looks like a quiet time for the next few months as the phase trials get patients registered. Good to you Nice2 and take care. I still like me F&C's with a couple of pints at my favorite spot.....LATER
Yep Nice2Michu is correct, but the problem is that this stock is quite likely to disappoint by another raise before any meaningful RNS is given. The chaps across the pond are already facing a delisting from the Naz so when Michu says much chance involved he means it..toss a coin or roll the dice, its about the same odds. I left some time back and cashed a mountain of shares in on that last 38p-42p bounce and sailed on. I hold a small tranche in hopes of a blockbuster but its not showing much light.
Wow Nice 2Michu that call I made back at 18's to be 15% lower just goes to show we were right. You spent them 16's and 15's bullets now so what's next. As you say chap its just a bet now and investing here seems rather pointless. Over the pond they to are clinging to $1 listing value so if the fails then they'll too be in for some further pain. Train Wreck as you summed it us seems to be a fair description. Still its for a thrill ride if/when a positive and substantive RNS comes. Until then hoist the pints, stay warm and find a pub with F&C's.
Nice response from NicetoMichu as we go way, way back. I thought about trying my luck once again here on this lame POS but once I re-read Nice2's post it reminded what a mare it is for longs and that I flipped my interests some years back over into other more promising opportunities. Still like to get my pints of stouts/porters and F&C's but plan to stay away from this until I see more promising news. for now this could dip (-15%) or more from here, so just not attractive here. I'll keep watching from a distance.
Indeed I've been here for some time mate …. years you might say years and years since Woodford made his initial investment and since lost his arse. Many here know of me, and yes I'm bored as me pub is closed and bored with this holding which is precisely why I liquidated 3/4 of my holdings at 82p smart of me. No I am not awaiting a chance to buy back in lower as that chance is here now, has been here and will be here for many weeks to come. If I want in I'll get in and right now I am fine with me small tranche of shares till I see progress. I fear though that the need for working capital will come before any major news. The management (same as in the past) can't and won't wait till Q4 to start figuring out that the coffers are near dry. They'll lay the ground work for another raise likely by Q2 to secure enough time to book more capital and pave the way for another RNS's that may say funding secured through mid 2022 in which will give some sense that the lights remain on for another year, while testing continues and the share base grows another few million at a ~50% reduction to the current pricing. That scenario has been played out "so many times" since 2014 that I lived through them all and see nothing changed even here today. If and when she drops to 20 - 25p and after that raise and I see clear results then I may tip-toe back in. Best to Viveka and Nice2, good luck here. Hope me pub opens soon, need me stout and F&C'S.
Yawn.......I thought I'd check back in after a well deserved hibernation. See we've moved up 8p in past two months.. Don't spend it all in one place. If you add another 100p to it then you can get a spot of tea or coffee. I really don't think much of this $2.06 stateside raise either. Looks like a raise needed soon to keep the lights on. My 2 cents, and if something jumps it will be short lived so be ready at the bounce to bail.
Nice2M - Not too sure about this time next year? Oh there could be that very short lived pop as we've seen and that will either be so short lived or met with a raise for more capital. Money is now running low, and 2021 will show that additional cash is needed in the coffers to survive another year to see 2022. Just same old pattern and note nothing of and RNS to be seen.
Borsaci06 - As a very long, long, long, time holder ( " investor" ) or whatever... It could easily signal that another raise is coming to pay for the website changes. I cut my holdings in half this year as management is too undecided on their long term approach, pipeline cuts and lack of proper guidance and forecasting. Nice2m and Viveka....thanks for your posts..
To be clear I only suspect the unnamed major pharma could be Novartis. what I posted and the possible sale are only my opinion after following this for years and years now. I hope everyone gets a return in the future on this one, but I'm inclined to very much agree with Niceto in that this will be sub 30p likely next week, and I may even take a position of some size below 28p. I have been celebrating my sale of 82p with pints here and there when I can find a place open or sit out and sip under the mask...Take care all.
Well this chap is about as smart as me, which isn't saying much but we both have one thing in common. I sold out on this run and I dumped the damn lot for 82p and was glad I did. I had a core holding that was thousands and thousands of shares. I watched the last run when the Chinese firm took a position and I held hoping, but for not. So this damn time I watched the two hour window where panic buying and newbies were being sucked in and yours truly old "George -Inn" sold into that non-sense rally and dumped the lot(s) between a very tight window of buying between 74p - 84p which a ton was dumped at 77p and some more at 79p and a little more at 82p. Talk about an opportunity to get the hell out.... Now I can easily buy back in next week probably 28p and wait until Novartis (I suspect) has some news about this collaboration or decides to make an offer. I suspect a sale is pending as Stephen wants to close the books on this before year end. Funds run out again end of Q1 2021 so they need a buyer to make the offer soon. Viveka and Niceto hope you're both doing well and stay safe out there, unload when you can. I may even be able to break even if I buy back in and dump one more time on a double up. Poor saps that bought in at 80p whew.....it will be a wait before that run happens again.
I am quite the opposite and very uninterested in this stock any longer. Bunch of crooked swindlers whom have wrecked an otherwise useful and productive company. Due to poor management, bad judgement and continued cash burn I'd not dare be suckered into another pump and dump scheme from these clowns. Be fair warned these few remaining people at Midatech don't care about anything except lining their pockets and they'll do it at your expense. it's been proven time and time again. They've reverse split this company into the ground.
I'd expect a sell on the cheap as again I stated weeks ago when Craig was fired that they need and want to sell this before year end. they want to settle the legal and tax portions all within this year, I trust no one at this company and believe that the board and management are all about as smart as a rock. They can't even keep their RNS straight and you get 40% value drops in one day because no one believes that anyone is driving....what a lost cause this turned out to be.
the seller is not I.. However I am looking to get totally out later this year either at the sell or near the sell of the company. Midatrch as we know it is gone and its just a matter of time before they find a suitor to take the IP off thier hands... I used to be a supporter but no more and so im moving on eventually. Besides its saturday afternoon and nearing time for me pints of porter and F&C's.... Me loves them Saturday's .
I still care a lot about the families who desperately need therapies for their children and those whom are truly afflicted by diseases. If the leaders of this company aka the clowns had of shared the passion with us shareholders then they could've and should've remained focused on the tasks at hand and gotten these clinicals through trials with the nearly 100 million that they've been given starting with the 20 plus million from woodford. I've lost all respect for the =management of this company but believe in their tech, but I am not sure that it will prevail from Midatech or ultimately through some other suiter whom knows how to run a successful company. Time will tell...
All of this talk about nothing and buying at >50p etc..and the talk continues in the 40's and 30's and now 20's. For the record I sold half my stake when I was quiet. I sold tons of shares in the 60's and later in the 50's when it drifted into the 40's I stopped with half of my investment sold. Then these morons still in charge have issued a sale of more ADS to raise again, and for what? they need a few more suckers to buy in so that they can drag on this relentless trial and in the interim look for a buyer of the whole lot. Sheesh talk about how screwed up this company has really become. The last half of my mountain of holding shares will be left intact in the hopes for a sale of the company in greater than one hundred million. that way I could get back more of my investment. Good luck but I said in the past few posts that these clowns can no longer effectively manage and to still be doing raises and crash the share price by 50% shows their true business acumen. or lack there of....good luck
NicetoM - the problem is that these buffoons whom couldn't manage a simple business nor run it successfully. Surely cant be expected to fair any better in a sale situations. right?? not unless Mr. Stamp has an ounce of intellect in him will this sale even be successful. Best we can hope for is a fire sale with funds equaling a fraction of the true value. I've lost all faith in these idiots to even chance another pence on these losers to do anything correctly. If I were to see any successes here they'd need to sell the lot at >$700 million to even begin to regain some credibility. that would go a ways towards recovering a lot of our losses, let's see 750p - 1000p sale of the whole lot all patents, IP, rights, real-estate, assists, then impress me and the shareholders with making this right before you fade off into the sunset.
I hope they work something out... It would be great to see MTPH go up 50 - 100p in relation to Emergex successes linked to their sorry performance as a company. Clock is ticking on them finding a buyer for the whole lot....so get moving and find a suitor to take the drugs to the next level.
