Using rule 13-d (1-c) of the filing of the 13G means that we have an owner of more that 5% interest in the company but is acting in a " Passive " capacity. Look there's also an investors social if you call it that on Sept 21 in which investors will be updated on company progress, direction and milestones. A person would think that they company would hold such an event "after the interim results " are released, yet that is a mere 15 days away and still no news on intended release date of the interim results. Why? I mean if you intend to release the results, host a conference call and provide presentation for the analyst, shouldn't you forecast a date of such activities? Why so secretive ?

Awaiting some guidance and/or news regarding the interim results.

Fair enough we'll wait for Jim's update, however someone at the helm needs to let the investment community know the dates. Let's hope for positive news so we don't have to tell our families that their inheritance vanished. Fingers Crossed here.......

Suspicions are (A) that there's particularly bad news and the company is hesitant to release it much like the failed venture with dissolving diabetes strip and how to manage the damage. Or (B) there's some merger or acquisition news pending. Or (C) major milestone, growth or positive news and the MM's want to run it down on the low to scoop as many cheap shares as possible. My suspicions are that we'll hear something over the weekend either way and get clarification. Very uncharacteristic of this company to be so quiet, after issuing two recent CT regulatory fillings in the states. No news means that it will keep bleeding lower, as probable news continues to leak. All are my view only, conjecture on my part and others are welcomed to form there own opinions and comment.

Grandadtom, it would appear from a combination of either no news and or lack of shares traded that very few are even interested or following this. I personally don't understand why management has not posted the release date for interim nor scheduled the conference call with the investment community. Panmure Gordon and other advisers should be quite curious as to why the downtrend in share price, lack of volume and no news. Speculative I agree, but following this company as I have since IPO this sort of quiet period is uncharacteristic of management. Again I will stress just from my speculative view point as a shareholder, that I have the utmost confidence in Mr Phillips and his leadership abilities. He's respected in the medical community and provides great value to the company, but something feels odd about this obsessive quietness and lack of news regarding Interim results which are supposed to be released in Sept, which starts in couple of days. Any thoughts from you Grandadtom, as you're about the only other soul on this chat site. Again this is merely my viewpoint only as a common shareholder....thanks

Something or some news must be about to break, just speculation.

Evening to you as wel...okay well I didn't notice that so you must be plugged in to this better than I. But that makes good sense and I am hoping for some news soon. This is some what if an odd reporting period with some very odd trades....fingers crossed here.

Grandadtom the following RNS was just released and some institution took a >6% stake in Midatech for voting rights, so what's your take away of this action?

Grandadtom .....To be honest I don't like it, and it seems to stray a bit from their usual promotional and positive updates. To have higher than normal volume, particular to the sell side a continuous downward trend and worse, No News, that usually portends something negative and leaks already occurring with those lucky ones hitting the sell button above the 100p. I've added to my position so many times since their public debut I own a healthy lot, and am quite worried by this unusual activity, but I will not sell and will actually add here and keep some more $ funds available for when news does finally come. Still this is unnerving and makes little since as to why they wont post a mid-term date for earnings release. Just my 2 cents and I too am speculating as that is all I can do as a simple shareholder. I will close with one bit of positive perspective and that is that Dr. Phillips CEO seems genuinely interested in helping to find cures, and generating shareholder value. His reputation in the field is both positive and admirable and if woodford thought this was a great deal and smart decision then so do I.......

High volume and a new low with no news usually means bad news and a leak. Seems like certain investors are being allowed to exit while news leaks. The rest of us investors seem stuck......Thanks.

Well the logic is there if you apply the path toward the idea that Norvartis could see them as a "bolt on" much has to be proven yet and Q-Octreotide has to progress forward to where it becomes a competing product to Sandostatin®. With Liver, Brain and other oncology treatments going into the clinic in the short term then it may very well be 2019 when you see something like M&A begin to sniff around. If Norvartis wanted to bolt them on then about 3 billion would be an estimated guess and not certain at what point that would make the share price? These 10K delayed trades could be problematic but curious as to how you view this as a potential for significant losses? would that be losses to existing holders or those shorting? Also must think how this would all play into view for someone like Woodford, sit and wait for the M&A or step up the position? I too speculate, and see the Norvartis path, but at the same time see that a competing company might be sniffing as well. Still probably couple years away from anything actually occurring. See if you can muster up a possible answer to the couple of questions I posed.

Grandadtom - If a major were as you say sniffing around. Then that might answer the question as to why they've issued 2 recent CT Orders in the states. These confidential treatment orders allow a firm to file for protection and is common, but there is something in the works just my own opinion. What major would you suspect is sniffing?

Bizarre action indeed here. if you look at the volume over the past couple of weeks there are days where the volume is more than quadruple the daily avg, yet the price doesn't move and when comparing the sell or buy position its all leaned toward sells. This is quite bizarre and when last interviewed Mr. Phillips said everything going better than expected, revenues up, DIPG going clinical, break-even near etc.. If you suspected a "major is sniffing around" then whom do you suspect? I too am waiting, hoping and sitting on a substantial block of shares. Hope I am not disappointed.

When are they going to announce a date to release half year earnings? I mean they announced last month, that September but no formal date, and now that Sept is nearly upon us they need to provide a date.

Thanks Grandadtom, and I read both. Could have been an omission but just as easily been an update. Either way quite reassuring and we'll find out more very soon. Fingers crossed for positive clinical kick-off for the childhood brain condition, really would like to see kids that are diagnosed with this horrible condition have a real chance at a quality treatment plan.

And what was it before? what was the slide date changed from ?

I don't disagree grandadtom and I also expect more news in the coming qtr. Hoping for some significant price per share moves in 1H-'18 as some clarity around the clinical tests are shown, and yes this could and should be a good earner in 2018 and beyond. But 2017 is that crucial year where the company had to write off the non performers and increase sales from the US to get to break-even hopefully. So 2018 could very well set the stage for a super great 2019 and beyond as the clock is ticking and investors want rewards.

And!!!! Nothing, so until they release an EU/FDA approved product that massively improves the bottom line with additional revenue, looks like we're in a holding pattern... impressive trials but need more.
