I know broker targets are not to be relied on, but their methodology seems pretty conservative to me, and takes no account of potential upside for new applications, nor the potential uplift from a NASDAQ listing, if that were to happen. So a conservative estimate of double the current price, with upside. Pretty compelling, I think.

I think 1 gbp is a very modest target. I have increased here this am, but my holding is still pocket money as I am overcommitted elsewhere. Imho 150p is a reasonable St target, but expect a t/o eventually for Northam that, maybe much more.

I've just watched it, and it's hugely positive imo. AN more bullish even than in the 29 Jan interview, and a very strong "get in soon" message.

Good summation of the risks of the new situation imo. As TTF says, Noble will be evaluating their options carefully before committing, and it will be a long time before their decision is made or known. So, sadly, the sp is likely to drift, again imho. Still keeping this on watch, tho, ARG have the funds to sit this out and will do the business eventually.

It would be very surprising, to put it mildly, if no extension were grated in the circumstances; rig going tits up is hardly their fault. Nevertheless I'm glad I'm just a watcher here. Even if a new agreement is as good as the last, and Noble still as keen, things put back a year at least. And maybe more....you can't take any investment decisions for granted in the current oil market. Commiserations to those invested here, I will continue to watch here....in any sensible oil market this must be good LT, tho we know what JM Keynes said about the LT!

"I noticed that yesterday Premier served notice to Ocean Rig for breach of material obligations re the Eirik Raude rig, currently being used in the North Falkland Basin. The rig is at the moment working on the abandonment of the Isobel well and was then intended to drill the Chatham prospect. This will go ahead if the parties can agree on solving the problems but should that not happen there must be some doubt about drilling Chatham.  I doubt if the problems are serious enough to cause any issues with plugging and abandoning the existing wells or we would have had more details. Should this situation arise I suspect it is not the end of the world for Premier and Rockhopper, with such a successful drilling season almost at an end Chatham would  only marginally add to the sum knowledge and of course not drilling it would conserve quite a bit of cash which is no bad thing in this environment. The parties win both ways, either the problems are sorted and Chatham goes ahead or they save cash  and press ahead with Sea Lion."

I'm not acquainted with anyone who likes to fail, but it is a fact of life that many of us do, most of the time. A rethink of that argument, please.

As I said, my attention was drawn here by a piece by Poetical, which also alerted me to MTFB. Is he the Paul T you mentioned? Anyway, I have done my own homework,. and agree the potential here is significant. Sadly my ability to add, both here, MTFB, and a couple others, is limited while we await news over at HUR.

I was planning to go but events have conspired against me, so now unlikely. no doubt someone will update us all late wed.

That q was asked at a recent web presentation. the answer was that new CTCs would continue to be produced faster than you could remove them, and you would be treating the symptom not the source. we have an excellent diagnostic tool, but not a treatment.
