I think that puzzles a few of us, the only things I can put it down to are that I (and others) may have undersestimated 2 things.
1. The innate conservatism of the industry, which will not recognise non standard techniques till they spit in its eye.
2. The enhanced caution over commitment to large projects post the 2014 price collapse, likely reinforced by the ongoing CC debate.
Those are concerns, but the sheer scale of this resource, will, imho, see those doubts overcome t some stage.

TBf to Dr T and the BoD, they have always said 6 to 12 months production to prove concept, after which they expect a stampede (my words), an "interruption" in AS' words, and expressions I Can't exactly recall in the same vein from NEDs at the AGM.

HUR are proving up a whole new play, and just on their existing acreage could have as much as 5bn barrels.
The EPS is currently proving concept, and the TOL will shortly show viability on Lincoln.
Yes, it's already a £1bn mcap but with those sorts of resources, and revenue of $200m+ pa, even in current climate it must be looking attractive to either Big Oil, private equity, or both.

I for one dont expect HUR to exist in its current form by this time next year.

I would point you at SotB's earlier post. LC took 62 days, but OTH the 2016 Lincoln well, which was not DST'd, took only 40.

That well was much deeper, but only slightly inclined and not horizontal. I leave it to you to decide how comparable that makes it.

"Real news", as in a well result RNS, about one month away, I guess.

But SotB and DC are indicating below that the drilling has turned a corner, so quite possible this share could move on tittle tattle over the next few weeks, and imo that move is much more likely to be up than down.

Questions, I have a few.
1. How the hell did the raise leak, sabotaging SP by 25%+?

2. California - what is the timeframe to monetisation, and how can they assure us that this is not a money pit of continual workovers?
3. Understand that the latest raise is value accretive by increasing our stake, but just how big do they intend to grow the company in this way, rather than waiting for monetisations to fund new/expanded investments?
4. Can they provide a draft timescale for monetisation of all our assets, subject of course to success cases.

Is anyone planning on going?

I am considering it, tho it would mean a very early start for me, I would value the opportunity to ask a few Qs of S&S.
