“LABOUR’S tax rises and workers’ rights bill have left bosses “pretty p---ed off”, the head of Britain’s biggest business group has said.

Rupert Soames, the chairman of the Confederation of British Industry, said bosses were becoming “irritated” with the Government, adding that dealing with the consequences of Angela Rayner’s workers’ rights bill would be “very difficult”.

He added: “People bought into the idea that Labour would be the most pro-business Government ever and clearly they aren’t.”

Mr Soames made the comments in response to a question on how businesses felt about the Government’s policies during the Business Leader Summit in Westminster.”

Looks like the first big Labour rebellion is coming. David Blunkett, Diane Abbott and a whole host of other Labour MPs are piling the pressure on Dalek Reeves.

“Grieving families will pay £2.4bn more in inheritance tax under Labour than previously forecast, official figures show.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) now expects the taxman to rake in £66.9bn in death duties by the end of the decade, according to statistics published alongside the Spring Statement.

The trend has been pinned on frozen tax thresholds and rising house prices.

The OBR also predicts the number of deaths each year will fall by the end of the decade, compared to the previous forecast. As a result, the proportion of deaths which will attract an inheritance tax bill will rise from 9.5pc to 9.7pc by 2029-30.

It comes after Rachel Reeves froze inheritance tax thresholds in the October Budget while also making pensions liable for the charge and slashing tax relief for farmers and business owners.”

Most of Labours policies HAVE been detrimental to the country. All the economic indicators are flashing red. Time your socialist heroes took responsibility for their actions instead of blaming everyone else but themselves for the mess they’ve created in little under 9 months.

The figure is a blip. Higher energy bills and council taxes are yet to kick in as are the Dalek’s NI raid. I fully expect inflation to continue its upward trajectory under this miserable government.

In my opinion he should never have been allowed to stand as he doesn’t accept the outcome of democratic votes that don’t go his way.

I’ve always been ambivalent towards Trump. He has some great domestic policies but he is out of his depth in foreign policy.

She’s devoid of useful ideas Ant and whatever she comes up with 2mrw will be bad news I’m afraid. My bet is she’ll extend the fiscal drag on income tax thresholds for another 2 years. That way she can claim she isn’t raising headline taxes when by stealth she is actually is. We shall 👀
