Stick it out on the money markets is my advice if you don’t know what to do with it. Premium Miton, Royal London and Vanguard money market accounts will give you 4-5% on your money and you can at it within 24 hours if you fancy something. Better than leaving it uninvested.

Some Stocks and Shares ISAs do pay a paltry interest on uninvested cash I believe. Depends on your platform.

Hi Bloomers it’s not just the EU Trump is going after, it’s the whole world with his tariffs. I’m all for free trade too but the way Trump has gone about it is causing havoc. I’d say there’s a lot of volatility going on in the markets at the moment. Starmer wasted his time going after there and sucking up to Trump.

Agree with most of you have to say but your mate Trump is collapsing equity markets all over the world. The bond markets will follow soon unless the Central Banks decide inflation is no longer important and interest rate cuts are more important.

I agree that America is entitled to reset tariff arrangements but not this way. He could have negotiated with every country first instead of creating havoc. Trump is realising now that Putin cannot be trusted. People poisoned on our soil, Navalny killed after 2 attempts, Malaysian 777 shot down by Russian weapons over Ukraine and Prigozhin‘s aeroplane downed.

It’s like there are just 3 leaders now (US, Russia and China’s) divvying up the world like Bond type baddies. I pity our children are having to grow up in this 💩
