RE: Achievements that make Horta Osório “very proud”.24 Aug 2019 00:40
It’s “you’re” Snige in that context but have that one for free lol.
I’ve slated Trump before on here Snige and as laudable as Trumps intentions are regarding China, they are fraud with risk and increase the propensity for a global recession. He is positioning himself to blame the Fed if the US goes into recession as a consequence of his trade war with China. He’s too narcissistic to blame himself.
Bojo or Jezza ? There is no comparison. One will fight the UKs corner with enthusiasm and steeliness, punctuated with humour. The other will sell us down the river in a tidal wave of appeasement.
Snige, I made the point that those north of the border did not consider themselves Irish in the main as Cuckoo contended.
You decided to get involved and attempted to blur the lines between religious persuasion north of the border and the remainer/leave spilt in the referendum.
A majority there voted to remain in the EU. The referendum was nothing to do with nationality. Cuckoo decided to say both sides of the border were Irish. I pointed out that the majority in the north do not regard themselves as so. Are you understanding that ??
You are confusing the referendum result there with the wishes of the population regarding their right to self-determination which is frequently expressed in General Elections there.
I’m merely pointing out that the electoral majority in the north do not regard themselves as Irish. It’s quite a typical mistake made by followers of Corbyn given his previous record in matters there.

Haven’t posted on here for a few months. Got fed up of reading how things were going to pan out by so-called experts who knew apparently. The one thing I did predict back in May was Thomas Cook would see out the summer. Those that disagreed seem to be conspicuous by their absence now.
Best of luck to shareholders and staff alike. A great brand which I hope continues my lifetime.
Maybe those like Cuckoo who constantly slate Lloyds (yet remain invested) might turn their myopic eyes to the sector in general, instead of naively blaming buybacks for the slide in the share price here.......
You wonder Calisto what Cuckoo’s face would look like if, God forbid, the markets had to react to a Corbyn government. A FTSE at 7,000 would be a distant memory.
