Thanks everyone; I now understand. Well I am also equally dumbfounded then about why we have not had this AGM yet and why we are this late. But Doc83 I see that you think they may plan on not having an AGM at all and are looking to take the company private.

I don't think this would be the case surely??

I mean they have had 20 years to do something with this company and achieved nothing but trials and research. In the last few years all of a sudden they've proved antiviral properties with good results both in vitro and in vivo, have done a P2, P3, an American trial, have been peer-reviewed, and are now working with big pharma/UK government etc. All within the last 4 years or so.

They are surely either close to doing something with all of that, or are not, so I ask myself what is the likely option? Especially if they are shareholders themselves and TFG are also in the picture.

Surely there are more chances of a deal being struck soon rather than the company going private or being "delisted" as one previous poster suggested.

Just my thoughts!!

Doc, when you say "It has to be within 15 months of the previous AGM, but no later than 6 months after year end, i.e. 30th June."

If year end is April then 6 months after year end would be end of September, therefore i do not understand '30th June'? Also, we are indeed still within 15 months of last AGM as last year was in June yes? So again 15 months since then would still make September.

DD - I am just trying to be upbeat in times like this and I suppose instead of 'think' I should have said "hope".

I hope they've realised by now that a Pre-P2 deal is one of their only options.

I think from everybodys views on here in this thread it is safe to assume we all think the company have a financing solution already and are finalising this before announcing the AGM, meaning, as you say Paladin, the "Plan B" route will not be taken and we are likely heading down "Plan A" of a fully financed P2 this winter.

The company are very aware of our "interest in the AGM". If there was nothing to announce and we were set for hibernation then the AGM would have surely been called already and our expectations met early so they could shoo us all away early so they can get on with their "Plan B". This makes me think they want something good to tell us at the AGM?

Why else the delay in the AGM notice I wonder.

Fruitsnveg. I missed the part where it says that they could seek financing next year if not this year? In your opinion do you think they would sort out this problem this year if they are wanting to start the trial this winter??

I am of the similar viewpoint to the posters who have replied. Yes; even the US have been involved and I think that is why I put in a number 5 on my list if we have had previous remarks from sector professionals saying the drug needs to be further investigated.

Also I am happy that certain negative posters remain to visit this board on a frequent basis even though there is no hope for the drug and no financing details to be announced. Keep it coming; you are only reassuring us more with your presence here!

What are ppl's thoughts on the phrasing of "if it comes about"? It shouldn't be hard for the company to get some financial assistance at this stage of their journey as there are some big players involved (not working with but simply involved at this stage):

1. AstraZeneca

2. Janssen

3. UK Government

4. TFG

5. ??

How hard can it possibly be to fund a small P2 with all of these parties involved?

I like to think that they've simply used the phrasing to cover themselves as you would think it would be straightforward to acquire the financial assistance for this small P2, but maybe suggesting that they can could well be market sensitive information? All of the above is just my thoughts only! Would certainly be interested to hear what you all have to think!

De-listing has now been mentioned twice here. I'm wondering if this is even a possibility and how likely everybody here thinks this would be? I have not for one moment considered this a possibility, and TFG surely would not allow this either?

Its saddening how many disruptive posts we keep coming across from the same ppl here. I understand both sides of the argument must be heard but all the venting should have been done by now - it's embarrassing to read all these horrible posts from you ppl. Thanks to wpa for the upbeat post earlier and others who continue to hold hope because this should be a place where better talks can be had so those of us who are down on our investments here can discuss matters going forward which can hopefully help us all.
