I note today that Bernstein have raised AstraZeneca price target to 18,000 (16,500) pence -,'outperform' and HSBC also have raised AstraZeneca price target to 13,000 (12,000) pence , 'buy'.

Judging by recent performance and events I am wondering if there is another AZN I am unaware of !

Well, I am delighted I was not able to buy more on the back of the usual fall on good news !

The question now , as posed by Love Plus One, is "where do we go from here ? " .

Topped up today - hopefully the broker upgrades will add interest .

Sold out the majority of my shares with a small gain. Was waiting for the bounce from the RR results.

For some reason I can not see, BAB is struggling to progress at the same rate as its peers.

The BA results past the test, but have dropped.

On that basis expect RR to have a very good half yearly result and drop tomorrow. I also have a holding with them and will also hold.

For me it is a hold, good half year results with positive outlook.

Looks good for a run up to £6 +.

@Primetime51 All good points, but the market is not responding. The actions of now may well be beneficial in two years time , but in the mean time the share slips and there are better opportunities elsewhere.

I have put an order in to sell a third of my original investment. I rather take a hit now and hopefully recoup elsewhere and return here when a pattern is established.

I bought in on the back of the activist investor arriving and Looney ( you could not make it up ) going. I thought BP could not get worse.

Since then both Elliot and myself are 20 % + down.

Selling Castrol and possible filling stations aside, I cannot see enough activity here to make a difference for 2025.

Am I wrong ?

I have sold out today after being in for a while and making a decent profit.

Share looks to be drifting and not keen on the short. People may also be selling as past the ex-div. date and rotating into defence.

Will return when clarity on full effect of the cyder attack.

@LSELoser. well I sold my remaining EZJ last Friday and after a good look round, doubled down on defence shares - RR, BA, QQ, MRO , Van Eck ETF and I dropped lucky with BAB.

I will keep an eye on EZJ as it will have its day in the sun - I just do not know when.

Regarding AIM companies I have lost more than I have gained over the years, particularly in miners - though I did very well when GKP was in play.

At least this year I will be able to reduce some carried forward losses ( outside of an ISA ) - not that difficult now with only a £3000 annual allowance !

I have gone with more BAB and BA. I think MRO will rise but, unless I have missed something else, the shorts are the problem.

Having had a good run with BA and RR, I have been looking at other defence Companies and on Friday made an initial purchase here.

MRO seems well undervalued compared to its peers and I note the new director's buy and projected cash flow.

I am wondering what is holding the price back. I see the short positions here and know from experience that they can be damaging. Also the Broker recommendation page has not been updated since January. A quick look at the news tab shows a UBS rating of 360 on the 9/5/25.

I am wondering if there is a historical reason relating to the Company that I am not aware of which is holding the share price back ?

@LSELoser - well it turns out I have a small holding of EZJ I had overlooked. 1200 at 553 p. I may continue to hold.

I have tended to move to funds/ETF's over the last years and have done well in L & G tech and Jupiter India - both of which I am out of now.

I note your comment on RR, but feel there is more to come there and I continue to favour other defence options - BA, MRO and VanEck defence ETF.

I also like MKS.

I am also looking where to place funds, but currently struggling to find suitable options.

Currently 20 % down on BP - expected more from the recently purchasing activist investor Elliot, but macro - economics tend to win out. One for the bottom drawer.

I hold 3 speculative classic AIM shares ( EUA, HE1 and AGL ) , which will be my last, and the way they are going one may clear the losses of the others !

Year on, year out it takes a lot to beat a S & P tracker.
