The only impact in a royalty of gold price is linear to price and quantity is determined by cutoff for pit design.

It's also worth noting we will be 20m closer at trial date and that can have a big impact from time value of money. Probably the project has a decent discount factor applied

If we assume we operate the mine. Yes doubling the gold price will have non linear impact as capex is sunk and revenue doubles.

It is not for certain we will use a mine assumption as it is much easier to use royalty as that is where we have an observable price.

I always assume royalty to be Conservative. It also takes away issues of arguing if we had expertise and capital to build mine.

Given it costs money will will be done closer to the trial date. You would imagine that is when there is peak interest and it will be most reliable.

Nice thing is when your ldes solution is backed by a cap and floor mechanism rhe gov basically guarantees a return that will give a good coupon and repay and debt. It makes getting a high debt ration maybe even 80pct possible.

Gov targets are 8Gw of LDES by 2030 ( 8hr + storage) from circa 2.3 now and then 16gw by 2050. That is 13gw more by 2050 but let's call it 10 gw more as some is planned.

Ldes is split into short end solutions like flow batteries giving up to 12h storage and then long end multi day pumped hydro.

There is not alot offering 12hr to 7w where we are. The question is does the gov see a role for our 0.3 gw project in this window. We'll I would think yes, 0.3 gw is a maybe 2pct of the 16gw required, you would want something in this 10hr plus window to 7 days which we provide

So how do they build capacity in this 12hr to 7 day timeframe. Do we do it all with pumped hydro. 5 to 8 yr build times. Capex intensity maybe 2 to 3x ours. Not modular has to be big projects.

Or do they find it in their hearts to substitute a tiny bit of pumped hydro for our low capex, 2yr build, modular solution

Cap and floor mechanisms guarantee returns on capex so clearly we are a cheaper guarantee. Also 0.3GW is a tiny amount relative to system demand.

Seems logical they approve.

I don't pay much attention to the paid interviews personally.

My decision is based upon the politics. Gov will start to allow tie backs. Rough needs billions of guarantees over its life. Probably the gov will look at us.

The ceo can say whatever but it all seems to be backed up by gov policies and strategies
