First the selling price of Ewoyaa's sp6 minus the aisc is going up and up. Call that number A

Second the value of producers paper, ie the likes of Elevra and other producers who may be eyeing Ewoyaa, is also rapidly on the up, will be their cash position. So for them the cost to finance Ewoyaa is becoming ever less compared to their corporate value. Call the Ewoyaa development cost decide a typical producer mcap B.

A/B ratios are going through the roof.

Time is the important measure. With all permissions now in place and Elevra now wanting to renegotiate the jv Atlantic should stipulate a time limit say six months on FID on Elevra or void the deal. This would do two things: force their hand one way or the other and show others there may be 9bn of high grade spodumene for some 200m plus your bid soon coming up.

Thing is present world 'events' appalling as they are true, but are only good for lithium.... countries who depend on imported fossil fuel will soon decide to move to the energy independence and security pv and bess provides, individuals will see pump prices and more and more move to evs.

re your 14 31. Atlantic will be revising the mid '23 DFS post rat and though they will of course look at cost cutting there is some maybe 10% of $ inflation since then to factor in. With other contributions to the build cost being fixed that will have a gearing effect on Atlantic's contribution. So I guess in the washout they will have to stump up around 50m.

With luck (and a now far better market) they can raise most of that non dilutively. Also any (if any) last bit requiring some new issue is getting cheaper by the day - sp doubled since I last posted, v glad for doubling up, roaring comeback! More to come.

Investment will only happen if the price, the price of SC6 then and ahead, is right. If, and it's the 'if' spod can maintain above 2k i would anticipate the likes of Elevra will be investing as fast as they can in ALL their projects and in particular Ewoyaa will offer them a return on their investment of 10+ x from profit going straight to their bottom line on their 50% of the LoM production.

And conversely if spod remains around or sub 1k noone's investing anything.

Potentially yes but aisi FID and in particular when and at what price Atlantic has to raise its share of build costs will be far more impacted by lithium pricing and hence what price they can issue at for the what looks to be some 40% of the bill to build this. In reality the painful deliberations in Ghana over the last two odd years have not impacted present value here anyway near as much as the miserable spod price has and if ratification had been passed 18 months back there would have been no way that the project could have gone ahead to FID until there was a decent upward move in lithium. Today this is now just starting to arise, but not then.

I expect Atlantic's 40% will be around £30m. If that is new issue then at today's price that would be some 400m shares, a very significant (unacceptable? ) dilution . If over the next few months spod moves up to say 2k I expect the pressure on the politicos will move into nuclear territory and even while they still may have not got their .... together the sp regardless will have moved much higher on speculative interest. Making the coming issue that much cheaper.

It's still a waiting game but it can be argued there is a cintilla of a silver lining in all this procrastination. Too optimistic? The demand growth narrative remains stronger than ever. May even get divis paid out......some day!

Re the 'up to half...' claim in the 9-55 video one asks what could drive that degree of swichover and how long could that take?

For 2024 world Li plus Na battery production was est at 1Tw with Sodium comprising 4Gw - 0.4%. Models rarely turn out to be accurate but if say total alkali battery production continues to grow at 20%/y how fast would Sodium have to grow for it to take half the market by say 2030? Answer: 200% (3x) per year.

But present pricing still favours LFP for packs against Sodium (despite what hype would have us believe). AISI to see such extreme Sodium growth Lithium would have to massively fall out of favour or just run out. Bar an international ban on Lithium, price would be the only mechanism to curtail demand there.

So which ever way with demand growth the way it's progressing Sodium won't harm Atlantic's prospects......few other issues could of course.
