Thanks Johno, that's incredibly helpful. From what you've posted it looks fairly safe to assume this well should produce above 10mmcf if managed correctly, given 1) thick, virgin zone with confirmed hydrocarbons, 2) horizontal length into new zone, 3. new zone has produced at 20mmcf previously (over 2 days). And there's always the two zones above to perforate, if, for whatever reason, this new level below the shale marker doesn't produce as it did many years ago. Would you agree?
Also, was there another well into Carapal? If so, how did this perform?
Funny that I said I didn't think we would hold above 9p on 'good' news. We now have unexpected 'great' news that has caught the market off-guard, and we're dropping below that 9p area. In all honesty, I thought this would push up toward double digits. Calamity Baay really has f@cked sentiment and trust here with his litany of errors and over-promises the past couple of years. F@cker needs to put his hand in his pocket. At least then he'll have done what he can to repair the damage of his making until we get some results (hopefully above 10mmcf).
PANR is quite different to our situation btw. I've looked at that company so many times over the years because of it's estimated resources, but until they can drill a well that produces at a reliably high rate, those resources will remain as difficult plays and the sp will Yo-Yo from one drill to another. At least there's a track record of very good wells in Central (and Casc). It's just the recent track record of our mgt team, and Casc development leaves a lot to be desired.
