Real Value?27 Mar 2026 15:49
Some deep remorse at not unloading this when it was in the £270+ area, it had been pumped up by the special dividend (Paid for with borrowed funds) and the reports from the chairman that this years dividend of £2.80 would be sustainable for the foreseeable future, which all contributed to the somewhat generous overvaluation. The loss of two orders didn’t help or DTJ raining ordinance on Iran but it still doesn’t hide the fact it was overvalued. The question now is where is the bottom, some market analysts suggest it’s in the £120 to £140 range, I agree with the sentiment that the highs seen just a few weeks ago will be a long time in returning, probably not ever reaching those levels again, but never say never.
