I feel the tension but its not going to make any difference. I think the best mindset to get in to is accepting this next RNS won't be the big one. We already know we are going to be CE marked for professional use via mologic.

Folks, bare in mind that Avacta aren't the only case the MHRA are dealing with. They're busy people with a multitude of work coming at them.

My balls are well and truly strung up after predicting an RNS yesterday, but I can accept that in the knowledge its coming very soon.

The way you're all talking it's sounding like you're blaming Al for every delay. You do realise most things are outwith his control and he wants the product to market quicker than any of us.

When you're developing any new tech and going through the due processes, it's impossible to predict timeliness accurately and its inevitable there will be delays. Relax, it's literally about to be sold and those of you who are moaning will look very silly when news lands

You do realise Alistair will be as frustrated as you. Given his wealth of experience, he too was expecting it within days but the MHRA are taking a little longer. You can bet your bottom dollar he will be on the blower to them asking what's going on.

RNS can land anytime now

Come on guys, Alistair said we would hear in the coming days. This was only 8 days ago.

I'm still very confident we will hear today but if we don't, what's an extra day, few days or week? We have the test, we know it will be on sale immediately after CE approval so we have majorly derisked.

Good luck getting a response before June.

Ive emailed them numerous times pre covid and they take weeks to get back in touch, even for the most simplistic of questions.

but there's no need to be. We know our test will be on sale later this week or early next week.

I still think we will see an RNS today, if not, I'll throw my balls on the line and say tomorrow. Why? We are using mologics CE Mark which should speed things up, Alistair expected it to be a matter of days and from previous CE markings it's taken a matter of days.

That aside, the news we are waiting for is confirmation on some big orders. I personally feel we will have our maximum capacity pre ordered and I think we will hear news of this very soon after MHRA confirmation.

It's looking likely, although I don't think we will see the next big rise until contracts are announced. Hopefully that will be tomorrow aswell ; -)

Between 270-290 is my guess. Once we start getting news on orders we should see it climb through 300 and it's blue skies then

I guess if Sujood keeps predicting the next RNS everyday, he will be right at some point

It will be this week, so many folks getting caught up in this RNS thinking it will be the Holy Grail and may be disappointed if the SP doesn't react in the way they'd hoped.

Patience is all that's needed. We will get there in time.

from Graham. At least now we have a rough time line to expect news on Uskmouth, being Q3 of this year.

I fully anticipate Uskmouth to be given the green light. I struggle to believe that any government would refuse to green light a waste to energy project which, although not net zero carbon emissions, is still far more environmentally friendly than fossil Fuels.... thus a step in the right direction. Given COP26 is being held in the UK this year, I'd imagine each nation will want to flex their muscles and boast about their flagship projects.

Meygen Phase 2 to commence...... I also anticipate the government will release funding for this. Phase 1 has proved a great success, so it wouldn't make sense to reject any proposals made by Simec. We are leading the world in Tidal Energy and Boris will want to leave his stamp on this. Phase 2 is going to be huge.

The Hydro Division doesn't get enough attention imo but is as important as the other divisions. Great to see progress being made at Glen Kinglass and Loch Etive.

Overall, great things ahead for us and as always, the key question will be funding. Is another fundraising likely? I think so, but I have no issues with that, providing the money is being spent in the right way. Simec isn't a company who sits on their hands and is happy to take money of shareholders. They're ambitious, have proven what they're capable of and have a detailed plan of what's to come.

I'm heavily invested here but I plan to add more at these levels as and when I can. I'm averaging just shy of 11p atm

some of the posts on here and would like to clear up a couple of misconceptions.

1) the theory that Covid is nearly over and there's no requirement for testing - the death rates are dropping dramatically in countries like the UK and that can be directly attributed to lockdowns and vaccine rollout. Look at the impact this virus has caused to the entire world and have a think what it would be like if we downed tools and stopped testing, only for another variant which is immune to the vaccine to come here. This would land us back at square one and in a hell of a mess. It's prudent to keep testing going over the next couple of years until we know enough about this virus. That is the issue, no one knows enough about the virus and what it will do in the future.

2) we won't make any money from the UK Gov because they're giving tests away for free - come on guys, are you really asking that question? The UK Gov have to buy the tests before they give them away for free. It's not like Avacta will be supplying them with millions per month free of charge out of good will. Trust me, Avacta will be making a healthy amount of profit per test.

How I laugh when I read comments about Avacta not being able to sell any in the UK because the government are giving them away.

Have any of you thought about one simple thing? Where are the government getting all of these tests from? Do you think they're picking them off apple trees?

The UK Gov will HAVE to buy billions of these tests from someone. Who's got the best test in the world? Oh yeah, it's us....and it just so happens that we are sovereign.

The fact remains that the UK will have to buy tests of someone, they will not want to continue with Innova as they are unreliable. They have the option to buy ours, potentially for less money.

But, as I've said time and time again, the UK is one country. We will have the private and public sectors of Europe, Asia, North America, South America etc

Yes it's a very good RNS and I'm delighted for them, however it makes zero difference to Avactas test and/or commercial rollout
