Cutting from Buy to Hold is actually quite good news in the circumstances.

Quite a swing today from 3.3% down to currently 1.5% up in the space of an hour.

Still forecasting sub £3 this year and my buy in prices will be £2.75 then £2.50.

I'll then leave them in my ISA for years. Long term I think the co will thrive, short term will be very challenging.

Share price to be about £8.60 this morning.

That's why I see no major downside whatever happens today. No deal, continue as a long term holder and keep taking the decent divis. Alternatively take the money from the PE purchase and invest in new opportunities elsewhere.

On balance I would prefer the latter as have eye on a couple of other opportunities but ltd cash currently available.

Either way exciting times!

To make clear I have received no indication that my assumptions below are correct. Purely my personal opinion!

Spoken to IR and they confirm the trading statement will be released at some point today, no timings given.

IMO the reason for this is that they are still negotiating with the interested parties and all the news will be issued at once. I think RPC is an outstanding play for PE (a bargain) and that the BOD feel that they will realise their ambitions sooner if the company goes private, I genuinely think there will be an offer today AND a decent trading statement.

Sticking by previous predictions of £11.50ps - Pretty Bullish eh?

Either going to look a genius or a fool on this one.

When making buying calculation I always have the fact that I really believe in this company long term, however expecting short term pain if confirmed bids don't come in....we'll see!

Numbers, you got a good price there, I should have waited an hour. IG was showing 92% sells a while ago now at 65% buys. Fancy a steady increase in SP while we wait for news (similar to Friday) GL to you.

That we have two potential buyers here. Never expected an announcement before 5pm today UNLESS it was to say that the PE guys were out.

I'm still confident of good news today. Ready to eat humble pie if I'm wrong.

Another 3k worth at £7.74 - I thought my days of high risk were in the past....let's see where we go from here...

Have done this on basis I believe in long term prospects of company with or without the potential bids.

Average now £6.81

...but instinct telling me that no news is good news....do I top up now or wait? Tricky one, already have quite a chunk invested here....think I'm going to top up though....Big decision!
